Reporting to the Sales & Solutions Manager, the role focuses on identifying, developing, and converting opportunities across the full product and solution portfolio, while maintaining strong relationships with existing customers.
The role requires a strong understanding of customer processing requirements and market dynamics across relevant industries, combined with the ability to present technically informed, value-based solutions. Working closely with the Sales & Solutions team, engineering, pricing, and project delivery functions, the Sales Manager ensures opportunities are progressed in line with sales governance processes and commercial priorities.
This is a hands-on, customer-facing role requiring industry awareness, disciplined opportunity management, and a strong commitment to customer experience and long-term relationship development.
Key Responsibilities- Drive sales growth by identifying, developing, and closing opportunities for Materials Handling equipment, systems, and solutions across the U.S. territory.
- Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline to consistently achieve revenue and order intake targets.
- Develop new business while expanding relationships with existing customers across multiple industries.
- Conduct customer meetings, site visits, presentations, and solution discussions to understand needs and deliver value-driven proposals.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and emerging technologies to identify growth opportunities and provide market intelligence.
- Prepare and support technical and commercial proposals in collaboration with Engineering, Pricing, and Project Delivery teams.
- Maintain accurate opportunity tracking, forecasting, and reporting within the CRM system.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Service, Aftermarket, and Project teams to ensure successful solution development and execution.
- Support marketing and business development initiatives, including trade shows, industry events, distributor relationships, and customer engagement activities.
- Promote a culture of safety, integrity, customer focus, and continuous improvement while serving as a professional ambassador for the company.
Qualifications - Tertiary qualification in Business, Engineering, Marketing, or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
- Demonstrated experience in technical or industrial sales, business development, or account management within materials handling, automation, capital equipment, or related industries.
- Strong understanding of solution-based selling and complex customer decision-making environments.
- Experience working with CRM systems and structured sales processes.
