Job Summary
Reporting to the VP of Quality, the Regional Quality Manager will work closely with our Concrete Hardscape and Masonry product plants within your region. This person will be responsible for overseeing the daily QC functions including process inspections, final product inspections, scheduling of support personnel, reporting on regular basis to management team with respect to processes improvements, repetitive quality defects, non-conforming products, and other quality concerns. Additionally, the Regional Quality Manager must demonstrate the ability to cultivate relationships at all levels of the organization and work as a team player to efficiently deliver quality goals on schedule and within budget. There are 8 plants in Arizona, 1 plant in California and 1 plant in Utah.
Job Location
3 This position is onsite and this person will be based at one of our concrete manufacturing facilities in Phoenix, AZ.
Job Responsibilities
3 Responsible for formula, mix design accuracy at all plants and record-keeping
3 Develop and maintain formulas that will produce quality products at the most efficient cost
3 Build and maintain standards for quality control processes & quality assurance programs
3 Monitor quality assurance testing and provide updates to leadership
3 Coordinate required testing for finished goods and raw materials
3 Assist product managers as needed
3 Assist plants with line studies to determine consistency of products
3 Evaluate raw materials
3 Assist plants with trial runs of any new products
3 Look for opportunities to improve products by optimizing formulas.
3 Train plant QC personnel and machine operators as needed
3 Perform root cause analysis for poor test results and customer complaints
3 Develop corrective actions with various teams
Job Requirements
3 3+ years in management/leadership
3 Familiarity with ASTM and CSA specifications that relate to concrete products and raw materials
3 Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership technique
3 Production methods, and coordination of people and resources
3 Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective procurement, manufacture, and distribution of goods
3 Knowledge of procurement requests for proposal and negotiation
3 Travel requirements up to 50%
3 Previous experience with change leadership and program implementation
