Position SummaryThe Competitive Equipment Service Leader - Refining, Screening & Cleaning is responsible for driving growth, profitability, and market position of ANDRITZ's OEM and non-OEM service offerings within the refining, screening, and cleaning segment.
This role combines
technical expertise, strategic market leadership, and commercial execution, with a strong focus on competitive equipment, service development, and customer value creation. The position requires extensive engagement with customers, mills, and internal teams, and includes approximately
75% travel.
Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness Growth & Market Leadership- Lead the growth and profitability of the competitive refining, screening, and cleaning service portfolio (OEM and non-OEM)
- Analyze market conditions, competitor offerings, and ANDRITZ positioning to identify growth opportunities
- Drive innovation, optimization, and service differentiation across the product line
Sales & Commercial Leadership- Provide technical and commercial leadership to the sales organization (equipment and services)
- Support proposal development, product costing, pricing strategy, and margin optimization
- Partner with Refining/Screening/Cleaning Manager, Site Managers, and Regional Managers to align commercial strategy
Product, Service & Technical Development- Support reverse engineering efforts, service sourcing, and parts development for competitive equipment
- Collaborate with regional and global product teams on new service offerings, product enhancements, and R&D initiatives
- Participate in service execution, system optimization, and customer site support as required
Operational & Financial Responsibility- Influence production and purchasing decisions to ensure competitiveness and profitability
- Support annual budgeting and forecasting with input from sales and management teams
- Contribute to long- and short-term strategic planning, including sales objectives and training needs
Qualifications & Experience- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or minimum of 5 years of relevant industry experience
- Strong technical aptitude with the ability to solve mechanical and process-related challenges
- Proven experience in industrial sales, service, or technical leadership roles
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills
- Strong organizational, analytical, and decision-making abilities
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, customer-driven environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Work Environment & Travel- Combination of office and/or remote home-office work
- Frequent travel to mills and manufacturing facilities (~75% travel)
- Exposure to industrial environments including varying temperatures, noise, dust, and manufacturing equipment
- Ability to wear required PPE and meet physical demands of mill environments
Additional Information- Previous DUI convictions may result in inadmissibility to Canada
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. required (if applicable)
