The Regional President position is included in a workplace model that does not allow remote work.As a Regional President, essential responsibilities include:- Establish clearly defined goals and execute strategic sales and operational plans to achieve sound and profitable growth.
- Maximize sales performance through effective market planning, sales management and coaching.
- Assess competition and market opportunities on a regular basis identifying strengths, opportunities, weaknesses and threats.
- Encourage institutionalization of clients and prospects strategically offering all SFG's lines of business and products including Private Advisory, Treasury Management, STAR Insurance, STAR Equipment Finance and STAR's at Work.
- Active and engaged contributor on the Commercial Bank Leadership team helping the firm achieve both short and long term strategic goals.
- Develop, inspect, and outperform the annual operating budget.
- Serving as a leader within the regional community, participates in various professional and civic organizations.
- Maintains and develops relationships with centers of influence.
- Oversight of requests to proactively manage credit risk, compliance with policies, product parameters and requirements while maintaining legal and regulatory compliance.
- Recruit, lead, manage, and develop a diverse team of employees using effective training, performance assessment and coaching techniques, capable of competing and winning in the marketplace. Identify and develop a pipeline of high performing candidates for building succession capabilities.
- Make joint and individual sales calls, with customers, prospects, and COIs.
- Leverage best practices and expense reduction opportunities, monitor controllable non-interest expenses and revenues.
- Through a high level of oversight, ensures compliance requirements are met and sustained in accordance with STAR policies, procedures, standards, regulatory, legal, and ethical requirements.
Skills Needed- Strong, proven ability to effectively negotiate with clients and potential clients.
- Credit underwriting experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Highly analytical, attentive to details, and strong organization skills.
- Ability to manage several projects simultaneously and produce quality results.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Proven ability to manage and motivate a team for success.
