Full Job Description
Reports to: National Political Director

Department: Political

Work Location: In-Office (DC Headquarters)

Job Type: Full-Time, Salary Exempt

Supervisory Responsibilities: No

Due to the cyclic nature of our organization, all positions are subject to separation at the end of the election cycle.

Position Summary: The Regional Political Director will be responsible for working with challenger and open seat candidates across the country to develop winning campaigns. They will be responsible for helping to problem solve alongside Democratic campaign operations, identify and train campaign staff to place on campaigns, help manage campaign budgets, and work with other DCCC staff and House campaigns to advise and guide fundraising, political, press, paid media, and organizing plans.

Responsibilities:
  • Helping to find and provide support for campaign managers for targeted challenger and open seat races
  • Recruiting campaign staff in targeted races
  • Brief partners and stakeholders regarding campaign goals and progress as needed
  • Working with DCCC Leadership and staff to set goals and execute plans for fundraising, organizing, political, paid media, press and research for each assigned campaign
  • Provide DCCC leadership with recommendations for how to best support and invest in targeted districts
  • Potential travel to the region to work with assigned campaigns
  • Other duties as necessary to ensure the success of our campaigns


Requirements

  • At least 2 cycles of campaign management at Congressional level or equivalent experience is required
  • At least 3 cycles of staff management and team leadership is required
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Understanding of paid media planning, including tracking competitive spending and analyzing digital media plans
  • Ability to travel extensively
  • Self-motivation and the ability to anticipate and prevent problems
  • Thorough understanding of the House battlefield and a strong commitment to winning back the House
  • Strong commitment to teamwork and developing leadership
