Job Summary

The Regional Marketing Specialist develops and executes regional marketing initiatives across the West Coast to drive customer engagement, pipeline growth, and brand awareness. This role collaborates closely with Sales, Product Development, Tech Support, and Global Marketing to analyze regional market opportunities, implement localized marketing strategies, support Account-Based Marketing (ABM) initiatives, and recommend customer engagement programs aligned with commercial objectives. The ideal candidate is proactive, customer-focused, and capable of applying market insights and sound judgment to drive regional marketing initiatives and support commercial growth.

  • Develop, recommend, and implement regional marketing campaigns and customer engagement strategies aligned with commercial objectives, including Account-Based Marketing (ABM) initiatives.
  • Partner with Sales, Product Development, and Tech Support to develop and execute customer engagement programs, including scientific seminars, Lunch & Learns, workshops, conferences, vendor shows, coffee socials, and other offline marketing initiatives.
  • Evaluate regional market trends and identify strategic marketing opportunities to increase customer engagement, brand awareness, and commercial growth.
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration with Sales, Product Development, Tech Support, and other stakeholders to successfully execute regional marketing initiatives.
  • Analyze campaign performance and marketing data to develop recommendations that optimize customer engagement, campaign effectiveness, and marketing ROI.
  • Analyze regional market trends and business needs to develop recommendations for marketing priorities and customer engagement strategies that support commercial objectives.
  • Travel throughout the West Coast to support customer-facing marketing activities and industry events.

Minimum Qualifications - Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Biology, Biotechnology, Biomedical Sciences, or another related discipline with 2+ years of relevant professional experience, or a Master's degree in a related field.
  • Strong interest in life sciences, customer engagement, and B2B marketing.
  • Excellent project management, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel up to 30-40%.


Preferred Qualifications - Education and Experience

  • Professional proficiency in Mandarin Chinese (spoken and written) is highly preferred.
  • Degree or research experience in Biology, Biotechnology, Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Immunology, or another Life Science discipline.
  • Exposure to or interest in Account-Based Marketing (ABM), customer engagement, or regional marketing initiatives.
  • Experience planning and executing scientific conferences, workshops, Lunch & Learns, vendor shows, or other customer-facing events.
  • Experience using Salesforce, HubSpot, or other CRM and marketing automation platforms.
  • Experience working in a global, cross-functional organization.


Knowledge, skills, and abilities

  • Knowledge of regional marketing strategy, customer segmentation, market analysis, and customer engagement within the life sciences industry.
  • Ability to interpret market data and customer insights to support regional marketing decisions.
  • Strong project management, organizational, and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to build strong relationships and collaborate effectively with Sales and cross-functional teams.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to evaluate marketing performance and translate insights into actionable recommendations.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word), Salesforce, HubSpot, Canva, and other marketing, CRM, and collaboration tools.

Salary Range

  • $ 70,304 - $90,000 USD DOE plus annual bonus


Location: San Jose, CA (Hybrid)

Travel required throughout the West Coast (approximately 30-40%) with occasional domestic travel for conferences and company meetings.
