Full Job Description
Regional Manufacturing Operations Manager This is a highly hands-on, plant-facing leadership role. You will spend meaningful time on the production floor, in the stores, developing local leaders, investigating equipment and process issues, and helping teams move work forward. This is not a position for someone who prefers to manage primarily through meetings, reports, or established corporate procedures. Key Responsibilities • Provide hands-on leadership across the Texas manufacturing plant and store locations. • Coach, mentor, and develop plant managers, supervisors, leads, and frontline employees. • Understand production flow, staffing, quality, inventory, material movement, maintenance, shipping and receiving, and customer needs. • Identify gaps and build practical SOPs, JSAs, training programs, maintenance practices, and accountability systems. • Partner with maintenance teams and vendors on preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and equipment uptime. • Monitor performance related to safety, quality, productivity, labor, inventory, waste, and on-time execution. • Lead through visible safety practices, hazard recognition, PPE compliance, incident follow-up, and consistent accountability. • Maintain ownership and follow-through when equipment issues, employee matters, customer needs, and improvement projects compete for attention. The successful candidate will have progressive leadership experience in manufacturing, industrial production, construction materials, distribution, or a similarly hands-on environment. Strong mechanical aptitude is critical. You do not need to personally complete every repair, but you must be willing to inspect equipment, ask technically useful questions, help diagnose problems, and work directly with maintenance personnel. This role is best suited for a curious, adaptable, organized leader who can build structure without creating unnecessary bureaucracy. You must be willing to get dirty, listen before changing processes, make timely decisions, coach with patience, and hold teams to a clear standard. You will help steer the operation-but you must also be willing to row.
