Position SummaryThe Regional Manager (RM) is responsible for leading and developing high-performing teams across a portfolio of company-owned Retail Kitchens and Pantries. This role oversees both
food production and retail sales environments, ensuring operational excellence, food safety compliance, exceptional customer experience, and strong financial performance.
The RM acts as a culture carrier and business owner for their region, driving consistent execution of brand standards while building strong bench strength and scalable operating practices to support growth.
Scope of Responsibility- Typically oversees 12 - 20 locations consisting of:
- Retail Kitchens: Fresh food production + direct-to-consumer sales
- Pantries: Product sales, service, and merchandising only
- Directly manages General Managers / Kitchen Managers and Lead Nutrition Consultants
Key ResponsibilitiesSales & Financial Performance:- Deliver region sales, margin, labor, and waste targets
- Analyze KPIs and trends; create action plans to improve performance
- Optimize staffing models and scheduling to balance service and cost control
- Drive local marketing execution and community engagement
- Set clear expectations for and hold store leadership accountable for sales and operational excellence
People Leadership & Talent Development:- Hire, coach, and develop Store/Kitchen Leaders and Pantry Managers
- Build strong succession plans and internal promotion pipelines
- Lead performance management, engagement, and retention strategies
- Coach leaders on both retail selling behaviors and production leadership
- Foster an inclusive, high-accountability culture aligned with company values
Customer Experience & Brand Execution:- Ensure a consistent, premium customer experience across all formats
- Ensure team is fully trained on product knowledge and assortment
- Identify and improve on NPS scores; coach teams on service behaviors, product knowledge, and customer education
- Resolve escalated customer issues and identify systemic improvements
- Ensure brand standards for merchandising, cleanliness, and presentation
Operational Excellence:- Drive consistent execution of operating standards across both production and retail environments
- Ensure compliance with all food safety, sanitation, and local health regulations
- Partner with Quality and Supply Chain teams to maintain production accuracy, freshness, and quality
- Effective inventory management, including ordering, transfers and maintaining shrink/loss at or below company target
- Monitor labor deployment, throughput, and productivity in kitchens to meet demand efficiently
- Ensure strong in-stock levels, visual standards, and selling readiness across all locations
- Ensure all locations are clean and organized per company standards
Cross-Functional Collaboration:- Partner with Training, HR, Facilities, Supply Chain, and Quality teams
- Support new store openings, remodels, and market expansions
- Participate in pilots, process improvements, and technology rollouts
Education and Experience- 7+ years of multi-unit retail leadership experience (Regional/District Manager level)
- Experience in food service, QSR, fast-casual, grocery, or fresh food retail strongly preferred
- Proven success leading teams in operationally complex environments
- Experience managing both sales and production or back-of-house operations highly desirable
- Demonstrated track record of developing leaders and building bench strength
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations, Hospitality, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)

Physical & Travel Requirements- Regular travel within the region (typically 60-80%)
- Ability to work in food production environments (standing, walking, exposure to cold storage areas)
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs as needed during store visits
