The UHS Corporate Construction Department is hiring a Regional Manager - Facilities - Behavioral Health (BH) who will be responsible for implementing programs, vendor relationships, and providing leadership and support to all facility managers in an effort to effectively and efficiently operate all UHS Properties. This position will have specific knowledge of hospital facilities engineering operations, CMS and Joint Commission Environment of Care, Life Safety and Emergency Preparedness requirements, Fire Codes, and hospital safety considerations, and environmental hazard remediation.

Key Responsibilities include:
  • Provide support and guidance to facilities to remain in compliance with Joint Commission and CMS regulations, Federal, State, Local laws, ordinances, codes, rules and regulations concerning building design, construction, remodeling, maintenance, utilities and facilities services and programs, and related building equipment. This is accomplished through facility visits and evaluations 60%
  • Writes site visit reports and other reports as required
  • This position will establish standards and guidelines for hospital operations, major equipment and systems use and replacement, determine long range replacement plans and assist in the implementation of these programs
  • Understands and implements corporate policy on water intrusion, mold, fire and other building emergencies. Takes the lead with facilities experiencing emergencies and acts as liaison between facility and corporate insurance department and consultant
  • Interact with Regional Project Managers to assist in project development and management and assures that projects stay within compliance guidelines

Qualifications

Technical school degree with 5 - 8 years' experience in Plant Operations in a Behavioral Health hospital.
  • Must have had over-site over a minimum of 3 successful Joint Commission surveys
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal
  • Proficient using computer programs, including knowledge of computerized maintenance management software
  • Experience with managing multiple facilities and directors
  • Ability to analyze data and work with spreadsheets
  • Ability to travel from 50% - 75%
