Regional Machine Safety Engineer and play a vital role in shaping machine safety strategies across multiple operations. In this highly impactful position, you will combine technical expertise with cross-functional collaboration to identify risks, implement innovative safeguarding solutions, and strengthen a culture of safety throughout the organization.
Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures and guidelines.Working closely with Engineering, Operations, Maintenance, and Project teams, you will lead machine safety initiatives from assessment through implementation. Your contributions will directly influence equipment reliability, employee safety, operational performance, and continuous improvement efforts. From supporting capital projects and equipment upgrades to enhancing preventive maintenance programs and safety standards, you will serve as a trusted subject matter expert across the region.
How You'll Make an Impact- Lead machine risk assessments and identify effective mitigation strategies.
- Implement machine safeguarding solutions that improve safety and operational performance.
- Provide technical guidance on machine safety standards, regulations, and best practices.
- Support capital projects, equipment modifications, and facility upgrades from a safety perspective.
- Investigate machine-related incidents and develop corrective and preventive actions.
- Deliver training and awareness programs to strengthen machine safety knowledge across teams.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on risk reduction and process enhancement.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to develop preventive maintenance and safety reliability strategies.
Your Background- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in machine safety, industrial maintenance, manufacturing, or risk assessment.
- Working knowledge of ANSI, ISO, and other applicable machine safety standards.
- Ability to interpret electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical system drawings and schematics.
- Strong communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- ANSI, TÜV, or other machine safety certifications are preferred, or willingness to obtain certification.
