Overview
Accountable for the fiscal and operational oversight, leadership, direction and overall management of the international product in the assigned region; Actively engaged in the sales of international products and services in large markets to ensure that growth and profitability goals and objectives are met. Also, responsible for implementation and compliance in the international operations with company policies and procedures and all applicable regulatory guidelines. Provides oversight and direction with regard to operational KPI’s; Models and acts in accordance with our core values.
Responsibilities
- Work directly with the regional Director of Operations to establish regional and local goals within the parameters of the region operation’s business plan. Develop and execute policies, plans, and programs to meet anticipated organizational needs in the areas of functional responsibility. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures and all applicable regulatory laws and guidelines.
- Oversee, lead, direct and manage the fiscal and overall international operations of a region to ensure that growth and profitability goals and objectives are met. Develop continuous improvement methodology in key areas of service profit and growth. Review and evaluate regional international P & L performance and establish short term goals to address any budgetary shortfalls.
- Responsible to support the business development, sales, marketing and new account development of international services for the region to ensure that maximum transportation revenue is generated to achieve profitability goals and objectives. Work collaboratively with sales, marketing, customer service, operations, IT and corporate administration to ensure efficient operations. Assists in new account on-boarding and SOP development.
- Plan and implement appropriate resources (staffing, training, equipment, and systems) to ensure contractual compliance and delivery of quality services that meet and exceed the customer’s expectations. Develop customer relationships and ensure that customer service and operational levels within the region operations are maintained.
- Provide the station operation’s team with daily guidance, leadership and overall support on any issues relating to international operations, communication, revenue enhancement, human resources, procedures standardization, systems applications, and process execution. Assist stations with sales presentations, customer bids, and the promotion of the company’s products and services. Oversee and manage the professional development and productivity of international staff to ensure proper goals, training, professional development and project requirements are met. Address all employee performance problems with the station manager and directly in accordance with company personnel policies.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- 10+ years of industry experience.
- Knowledge of international air, ocean, and customs brokerage processes
- Exhibits strong communication skills both oral and written to motivate staff and develop effective working relationships with peers, executives, and clients.
- Experience with ITAR/ OFAC licenses, strongly preferred
- Cargo Wise TMS experience, strongly preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Ability to work in a high-volume environment
