Job Details

The Regional Human Resources Manager provides strategic and operational HR leadership across assigned locations and business units. This role partners with regional and operational leadership and Corporate Human Resources to align HR strategies with business objectives, ensure compliance with company policies and employment laws, and promote employee engagement, retention, and organizational effectiveness.

The Regional HR Manager serves as a trusted advisor to leaders and managers on employee and labor relations, performance management, workforce planning, compliance, and leadership development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with regional and operational leadership to develop and implement HR strategies that support business objectives and workforce needs.
  • Provide guidance and coaching to leaders and managers on employee relations, investigations, performance management, progressive discipline, policy interpretation, and other HR matters.
  • Conduct and/or oversee employee investigations involving workplace complaints, misconduct, harassment, discrimination, retaliation, and policy violations.
  • Support labor relations activities, including union grievances, collective bargaining, disciplinary matters, and interpretation of collective bargaining agreements.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies, including EEO, ADA, FMLA, FLSA, workers' compensation, OSHA, and other applicable regulations.
  • Partner with HR leadership and Legal on complex employee relations matters, agency claims, audits, investigations, and other compliance issues.
  • Support recruitment, workforce planning, staffing, onboarding, retention, organizational changes, and succession planning initiatives.
  • Analyze HR and workforce data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities and recommend strategies to improve retention, engagement, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Coach and develop leaders and supervisors to strengthen leadership effectiveness, employee engagement, and performance.
  • Deliver HR training and support the consistent implementation of HR policies, programs, and processes across assigned locations.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to HR Business Partners and/or other HR team members, as applicable.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of progressive HR experience, with strong employee relations and HR business partnership experience.
  • Experience supporting multiple locations, business units, or geographic areas preferred.
  • Labor relations and/or union experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct investigations, manage complex employee relations matters, and coach leaders.
  • Strong communication, leadership, problem-solving, organizational, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment, maintain confidentiality, and manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR information systems.


Preferred Qualifications:

SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR, or other relevant HR certification preferred.
