Regional HSW Business Partner
Role Purpose:
Deliver practical, effective and regionally relevant HSW management services that protect colleagues, strengthen legal and operational compliance, and support LRQA's ambition to build a safe, healthy, secure and thriving culture across the organisation. Act as the key liaison point between the Regional Leadership Team, HSW team, Legal Entity Directors, People colleagues, local line management, Safety Representatives, Wellbeing Ambassadors and acquired businesses.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and champion LRQA's HSW vision and strategy across the Americas.
• Build relationships with regional leadership and act as the key advisor for HSW compliance matters.
• Support compliance with legal HSW requirements, LRQA standards and international standards.
• Monitor HSW performance, trends, risk assessments, incidents, training compliance and wellbeing measures.
• Analyse HSW data and support corrective and preventive actions.
• Support risk assessments, audits, management system updates and continual improvement initiatives.
• Lead or contribute to HSW improvement projects across the region.
• Support and advise HSW Leads, Safety Representatives, Wellbeing Ambassadors, Legal Entity Directors and line managers.
• Ensure incidents, hazards, near misses and wellbeing-related events are appropriately reported, reviewed and investigated.
• Support emergency response, crisis situations and acquisition integration activities.
• Drive HSW communication, engagement and awareness across the region.
• Provide HSW data and subject matter expertise for governance, reporting, bids and tenders.
What You'll Bring:
• 3-5+ years of HSW experience.
• Experience operating within a professional services, consulting or matrix environment.
• Experience supporting HSW compliance across multiple countries within the Americas.
• Experience managing health and safety operations remotely through local leaders and stakeholder networks.
• Experience working with senior stakeholders and leadership teams.
• Strong awareness of legislation and regulatory requirements across the Americas.
• Health and Safety qualifications such as NEBOSH or a Master's degree in Health & Safety.
• Experience with incident reporting, internal auditing, compliance monitoring and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Fluent English required. Spanish is beneficial but not required.
