REGIONAL GROWTH LEAD
Reports to: Vice President of Client Growth
FLSA Classification: Exempt
Travel: +50%
PURPOSE
We are seeking a dynamic and entrepreneurial Regional Growth Lead to spearhead the growth in the Capital Region. This individual will assist the office's Vice Presidents, Team Leads and Business Development Contributors in supporting a multidisciplinary team of operational leaders in driving growth opportunities, business development, cultivating client relationships, etc. as noted below. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a passion for developing relationships and winning work, strong leadership skills, and a proven track record in business development within the A/E industry.
Key RESPONSIBILITIES
Leadership & Team Development
• Assist Team Leads in providing input on strategic direction and day-to-day leadership for the office(s).
• Assist the Team Leads to recruit, mentor, and retain top talent across all DDG disciplines.
• Assist in fostering a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performance culture.
• Assist with staff development, and strategic planning, as well as directing client and community engagement and sales force training.
Business Development & Client Relationships
• Identify Growth Opportunities and Market Trends
o Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the firm's presence in the region.
o Support proposal development, fee negotiations, and contract execution.
o Find, Pursue, Coordinate, and Lead efforts for DDG's participation within local communities of the region.
o Represent the firm at industry events, conferences, and community engagements. This also involves engaging and encouraging employees (BDC's) to attend these events as well.
o Regularly review and update the market analysis to reflect changes in the market environment and report same through recurring and consistent communications with DDG Executives and Business Unit Leaders / Team Leads.
• Determine and Drive Long-Term Vision and Roadmap
o Define the company's long-term vision for the Capital Region, focusing on market expansion into new sectors through collaboration with DDG Executives and Team Leads.
o Create a strategic roadmap outlining the key milestones, timelines, and measurable KPIs for achieving the vision.
o Align the local market strategy with the overall company vision and goals through recurring and consistent communications with DDG Executives and Business Unit Leaders / Team Leads.
• Forge Strategic Partnerships
o Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and industry partners.
o Build, grow, and maintain a strong DDG presence in the market.
o Actively involve technical staff and managers in client meetings and events encourage the building of strong multi-tiered relationships.
Project Support
• Coordinate with the Business Unit Leaders to maintain awareness of projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
• Support Business Unit Leaders in leadership oversight on key projects, ensuring alignment with client expectations and firm goals.
• Assist Team Leads with collaborating with staff to resolve challenges and meet client expectations.
Operational & Financial Management
• Leads forecasting efforts for their region. This includes the non-inbound (prepared by Regional Growth Lead) and Inbound forecasting (prepared by Operational Team Leads).
• Assist Team Leads and Client Service Representatives in the region with the development of the annual community outreach and engagement and client entertainment budgets.
• Monitor key performance financial indicators (KPIs) and assist and support Business Unit Leaders.
• Ensure compliance with corporate policies, procedures, and industry regulations.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor's or master's degree in Landscape Architecture, Architecture, Engineering, Business, or a related field is strongly preferred.
• Professional licensure (e.g., RA, PE, PLA, PLS) preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in the A/E industry, including leadership and business development roles.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and grow a business.
• Strong network of industry contacts and a history of winning work.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
