Position Description

  • **This position is for the Dallas, TX & Overland Park, KS office only**
  • Manage and assist in hiring, training, and mentoring the estimating team within the region
  • Develop and oversee bid schedules to ensure timely submission of competitive proposals
  • Fostering relationships with general contractors, trade partners and vendors
  • Assist in developing bid strategies to improve success rates
  • Create budget proposals using historical data
  • Oversee the preparation of formal bids using Tekla Powerfab and Bluebeam
  • Conduct thorough reviews of bids before submission to ensure accuracy
  • Collaborate with operations to provide constructability and coordination reviews of the project documents
  • Reports to Chief Estimating Manager


Position Requirements

  • At least 10 years of experience in construction estimating and managing people required. Steel estimating preferred, but not required.
  • Proven ability to lead a project team and oversight required
  • Proficiency in identifying and mitigating risks for project estimates required
  • Strong understanding of structural steel and miscellaneous metals preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret contract drawings and specifications required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills required
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast paced environment required
