Position Overview:
The RDC Manager provides site-level operational leadership and full day-to-day oversight of a major Finning regional distribution center, ensuring accurate and timely receipt, storage, and distribution of parts within the RDC's defined service area. The role executes warehouse and inventory strategies, standards, and processes established by regional and corporate supply chain leadership, focusing on safe operations, workforce capability, inventory integrity, and superior service to internal and external customers. The RDC Manager leads supervisors and warehouse staff, drives local continuous improvement, and manages the distribution center budget within parameters set by the Director, Warehouse Operations.

The anticipated salary range for this position is between 110 - 120K annually. The actual salary will be based on the successful candidates experience.

Job Description:

RDC Operational Leadership & Service Delivery

  • Provides day-to-day leadership for all warehouse activities at the RDC (receiving, put-away, storage, picking, packing, shipping, and returns) to ensure safe, efficient, and accurate parts movement. Executes established operational plans and service standards to meet technician, branch, and customer requirements within the RDC's service area


Workforce Management & Site Culture

  • Leads and develops warehouse supervisors, team leads, and staff, including recruitment, onboarding, scheduling, coaching, and performance management. Builds a culture of safety, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement in alignment with Finning leadership competencies (Create Safe Environments, Build Loyalty, Ensure Accountability, Prepare and Deliver).


Inventory Control, Compliance & HS&E

  • Ensures accurate inventory management at the RDC, including cycle counts, shrink reduction, audit readiness, and adherence to corporate inventory policies and procedures. Implements HS&E requirements, WHMIS/TDG and STCKY practices, and site housekeeping standards to maintain a safe, compliant warehouse environment.


Site-Level Financial Stewardship & Resource Planning

  • Manages the RDC's operational budget and labour plan within guidelines and targets established by the Director, Warehouse Operations, monitoring variances and implementing local cost-control measures. Optimizes staffing, overtime, and use of equipment to deliver productivity and service goals while achieving financial expectations for the distribution center


Cross-Functional Coordination & Continuous Improvement

  • Collaborates with Service Operations, Procurement, Demand Planning, Transportation & Logistics, Finance, and Safety to resolve day-to-day operational issues and support parts availability. Leads site-level continuous improvement initiatives and provides data and feedback to regional leadership on trends, risks, and opportunities, escalating systemic or strategic issues to the Director, Warehouse Operations


Education & Experience:

  • Supervisory experience in a large warehouse or distribution environment (preferred).


  • WHMIS and Transportation of Dangerous Goods certification (asset).


  • Knowledge of HS&E practices and Finning operational procedures.
  • Experience in team leadership, inventory management, or supply chain roles..
