About The Position

The Regional Director, Sales & Marketing, will be responsible for managing a team of Regional Sales Managers and presenting, promoting, and selling the Company's products and services to independent and franchise car dealerships in a designated market. Further responsibilities will include underwriting profitable and performing auto loans for the company.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Establish, develop and maintain positive business relationships with independent and franchise car dealerships in a designated market.
  • Promote the sale of the Company's products and services (i.e. GAP insurance, Collateral Protection insurance, Warranties, GPS installation services, etc.) by educating dealerships on their features and advantages.
  • Perform cost benefit and needs analysis presentations for dealerships to provide complete and appropriate solutions that utilize the Company's products and services.
  • Actively seek out and engage new dealership relationships using cold calling techniques, business directories, referrals, onsite field visits, etc.
  • Develop marketing strategies to compete with other individuals and/or companies who sell similar products and services.
  • Meet or exceed established sales quotas while maintaining accepted delinquency/loss levels on the portfolio.
  • Underwrite retail Installment loan contracts and partner with the internal underwriting department, when necessary, to capture and approve deals.
  • Educate dealerships and a team of Regional Sales Managers on the expected applicant standards such as credit quality, residence/employment stability, etc. and ensure all stipulations are submitted.
  • Provide detailed activity and status reports.
  • Monitor dealership portfolios and deactivate dealerships with poor portfolio performance.
  • Ensure that the dealer base meets the Company standards for inventory quality, business ethics, and integrity.
  • Attend meetings, sales events, and training seminars to keep abreast of the latest industry developments.
  • Participate in the recruitment, coaching, evaluation, and development of a team of Regional Sales Managers in a specific region.
  • Monitor employee adherence to rules, regulations, policies and procedures to establish and maintain organizational structure.
  • Travel within an assigned geographical area.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Essential Requirements:
  • 10+ years of progressive outside sales experience in the sub-prime auto finance industry with 3+ years in a senior leadership role.
  • Strong familiarity with different sales techniques and pipeline management.
  • Ability and motivation to travel to multiple sales locations and plan/strategize sales for specific geographic regions.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and problem solving skills with the ability to persuade and influence others.
  • Ability to interact with others in a professional, tactful and sensitive manner.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment and to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft office (excel, word, outlook), DealerTrack, Routeone, and defi.
