Full Job Description
Job Purpose

The Regional Director of Sales drives event-sales growth, pipeline health, and sales execution across an assigned region of Puttery venues. This role maintains direct accountability for sales performance at its home venue while partnering with the National Director of Sales, Regional Directors, and local Event Sales Managers to strengthen revenue performance across the region.

The Regional Director of Sales translates national strategy into disciplined local execution, building prospecting plans, improving conversion, developing sales talent, strengthening key client relationships, and ensuring each venue has a clear path to achieve its event-sales goals.

This specific role and job description is based for the region of Houston, Dallas, and Miami. Though a region area may change at any time based on the business need.

Responsibilities
  • Own event-sales performance at the home venue, including revenue attainment, pipeline health, conversion, prospecting activity, and key-account development.
  • Partner with the National Director of Sales to execute regional sales strategies and achieve assigned revenue goals.
  • Coach and support Event Sales Managers across the region through regular pipeline reviews, sales observations, performance feedback, and practical development plans.
  • Analyze sales results, booking pace, lead sources, conversion trends, lost business, and market activity to identify opportunities and address performance gaps.
  • Build and support regional prospecting, outreach, referral, partnership, and market-engagement strategies that generate qualified event leads.
  • Establish consistent sales disciplines across venues, including CRM usage, follow-up standards, reporting accuracy, pipeline management, and account planning.
  • Partner with Regional Operations leadership and venue teams to ensure booked events are operationally sound and delivered to Puttery standards.
  • Assist with high-value, complex, or strategic opportunities, including client presentations, site tours, proposal strategy, negotiations, and closing support.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with corporate clients, event planners, community partners, and other key market contacts.
  • Share effective sales practices, tools, and market insights across the region to improve consistency and overall team performance.
  • Monitor competitor activity, local demand patterns, and emerging opportunities; recommend actions that improve revenue, utilization, and market share.
  • Travel to assigned venues as needed to provide onsite coaching, sales support, event support, and leadership coverage.

Qualifications

  • Five or more years of progressive event sales, hospitality sales, entertainment, restaurant, nightlife, or multi-unit sales experience.
  • Demonstrated success driving event revenue, managing a qualified sales pipeline, improving conversion, and closing business.
  • Experience coaching, influencing, or developing sales professionals across multiple locations or markets preferred.
  • Strong command of the event-sales cycle, including prospecting, lead qualification, site tours, proposals, negotiations, contracting, and post-event relationship management.
  • Experience using Tripleseat or a comparable CRM, with a disciplined approach to pipeline reporting and follow-up.
  • Ability to interpret sales data, identify performance trends, and turn findings into clear action plans.
  • Strong communication, presentation, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills.
  • Comfortable working independently, moving quickly, and staying accountable in a high-energy, results-driven environment.
  • Willingness and ability to travel regularly within the assigned region and work evenings, weekends, and events as business needs require.

Working Conditions
  • This role supports multiple Puttery venues within an assigned region and is expected to maintain a visible, active presence at the home venue and regional locations.
  • Work includes a combination of independent planning, venue-based sales activity, client-facing meetings, site tours, team coaching, and travel.
  • Schedule flexibility is essential; evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours may be required during events, high-volume periods, or to support business needs.
  • Frequent collaboration with Sales, Operations, Marketing, Events, and regional leadership teams is required.
