JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARYThe Regional Director ofResident Experience is responsible for maintaining a highly professionalenvironment and ensuring a collaborative relationship with community teammembers, residents, families, and the regional team. The RDRE is responsible for the directoversight of a designated regional area, providing support, onboarding, ongoingtraining, and site visits. This position will be knowledgeable in all areas ofprogramming for Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care that willcarry out the organization's signature resident experience programs.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESCommunity Oversight
- Assistin the hiring and training process of new Directors of Resident Experience indesignated regions. Make recommendations to the Vice President of ResidentExperience, Executive Director, and Regional Director of Operations so thathiring standards can be maintained
- Train, support, and developcommunity program team members and leadership in the community, ensuring thatSinceri's signature programs are understood and applied
- Determineand communicate costs associated with program development. Communicatepotential costs to the Executive Director and/or Regional Director ofOperations. Support the Directors of Resident Experience in determining costsassociated with a new program and/or fundraising efforts. Seek approval for newinitiatives and fundraising efforts from the Regional Director of Operationsand/or corporate operations and resident experience leaders
- Identifyand develop community partnerships to assist in program development. Supportthe Directors of Resident Experience in determining community partners who mayassist in new programs
- Partner with the Directors of Resident Experience at thecommunities to create volunteer programs inside the community as well as in thesurrounding community
- Recognize and foster asales-oriented culture by encouraging the Directors of Resident Experience at the communities to participate in and supportsales programs at the communities
- Workcollaboratively with dining services to ensureall dining options are appropriate and aligned with specific activities/themes
- Direct the Directors of Resident Experience in planning andexecuting active and engaging programs. This includes a well-balancedcurriculum that includes educational, social, spiritual, and engaging programsinside and outside of the community
- Monitor resident satisfaction withcommunity programming and make recommendations and program modifications basedon feedback received
- Ensure activity programs aredelivered seven (7) days per week at the communities and according to stateregulations
- Encourage and review programs thatare developed at the community level
- Collaborative training with HealthServices and Dining Services to ensure residents' interests and daily routinesare documented components of residents' Plan of Care
- Foster family and community supportof Sinceri programs through newsletters, calendars, digital displays, flyers,and networking programs to encourage/promote family involvement
Regional Collaboration
- Active participation and/orfacilitation in regional and team meetings, conference calls, video calls, andother required communication activities
- Timely andeffective travel/community visits to provide support and training, identifyareas of opportunity, address staff and family concerns, and ensure adherenceto organizational mission, vision, and values
- Completetimely site visit summaries following community visits that are sent to thecommunity, regional team members, and senior leadership
- Supportoccupancy growth and compliance in assigned region(s), providing expertise inMemory Care, Assisted Living, and Independent Living
- Collaboratewith the Directors of Resident Experience, the Executive Directors, theregional team, and other community team members to develop appropriate actionplans to continually improve performance and satisfaction levels
- Collaborate with the RegionalDirector of Health Services on at-risk residents and high elopement and/orpost-elopement residents where programming may be of assistance
- Assure compliance with programmingcornerstones, standards and expectations, and social media standards fordesignated regions through training, support, and audits
Program Implementation and Development
- Develop and implement uniqueevents, presentations, community outreach, and educational opportunitiesrelative to Memory Care, Assisted Living, and Independent Living
- Inspirenew programs that meet the needs of the residents; assist in meeting individualcommunity needs, align with the trends of long-term care, and assist inredefining the resident experience
- Assistin managing policies and procedures relating to Resident Experience.Participate in ongoing professional growth relating to resident engagement,memory care trends, and related research. Initiate recommendations to the VicePresident of Resident Experience that support further growth of Sinceri'sresident experience programs
- Research new and innovative lifeenrichment ideas to keep programs fresh in all communities
- SupportSinceri's signature programs and demonstrate knowledge of their initiatives anddesired outcomes. Assist in monitoring the effectiveness of the signatureprograms and provide feedback to the Vice President of Resident Experience tomake changes accordingly
- Providevirtual Interim Directors of Resident Experience support as needed and/orrequested by the Vice President of Resident Experience
- Coordinatewith outside organizations/groups to arrange additional programs for residents,as appropriate
Other Duties
- Provide timely and effectiveresponses to emails, phone calls, and various inquiries related to management,team members, vendors, residents, families, and guests
- Meeton a regular cadence with the Vice President of Resident Experience and providefeedback on community needs and goals established
- Promote andmaintain a positive attitude, accountability, and respect for culturaldiversity
- Act as aRole Model/Mentor to team members for communication skills, behavior managementstrategies, best practices, quality assurance, and resident engagement formeaningful programs
- Participatein Executive Director and Regional Director orientation and training oversignature programs
- Other dutiesand responsibilities as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS- Minimum two (2) years of experience leading senior adults in activities within an assisted living and memory care community in a managerial role. Regional experience preferred
- Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred
- Certified Dementia Practitioner preferred
- Strong operations and program experience in retirement communities or long-term care
- Superior oral and written communication and presentation skills to effectively communicate requirements and present information to a wide variety of stakeholders, including residents, community teams, regional teams, and senior leadership teams
- Must be proficient in developing, implementing, and evaluating educational training plans
- Highly organized, accurate, and detail-oriented to function with a high degree of independence
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English for safety and work instruction purposes
- Must be computer proficient in typing and various programs, including a background in EHR management
