Regional Director of Operations

A growing skilled nursing organization is seeking an experienced Regional Director of Operations to oversee a select group of skilled nursing facilities throughout Louisiana and help support the company's continued growth.

Candidates do not need to reside in Louisiana. This position offers flexibility in home base, but the Regional Director must be willing and able to travel regularly throughout Louisiana and maintain a strong presence within the facilities.

This is a hands-on regional leadership role for a proven multi-site operator who understands how to drive performance across multiple buildings while supporting Administrators, Directors of Nursing, and department leaders.

The Regional Director of Operations will be responsible for operational performance, census growth, financial results, regulatory readiness, leadership development, and overall execution across the assigned facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide operational oversight for a group of skilled nursing facilities
  • Maintain a consistent on-site presence across assigned facilities
  • Support and hold facility Administrators accountable for performance
  • Partner closely with Directors of Nursing and clinical leadership
  • Monitor census, admissions, labor, expenses, and overall financial performance
  • Review facility KPIs and identify areas requiring attention
  • Support census development and referral growth initiatives
  • Maintain a strong focus on survey readiness and regulatory compliance
  • Assist facilities with plans of correction and performance improvement initiatives
  • Evaluate staffing, leadership structure, and employee retention
  • Develop and mentor Administrators and department leaders
  • Conduct regular facility visits and operational reviews
  • Partner with ownership and executive leadership on strategic priorities and company growth
  • Support the successful integration and development of additional facilities as the organization expands
  • Monitor resident satisfaction, family concerns, and quality outcomes
  • Help improve consistency and accountability across assigned facilities
  • Support turnaround initiatives when a facility is underperforming
  • Help establish operational systems and leadership practices that can scale as the company grows

Qualifications
  • Previous multi-site operational leadership experience in skilled nursing required
  • Prior experience as a Regional Director of Operations, Regional Vice President, Regional Administrator, or similar multi-facility leadership role preferred
  • Strong background in skilled nursing and long-term care operations
  • Experience managing facility financial performance, labor, census, and budgets
  • Strong knowledge of survey readiness and regulatory compliance
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop Nursing Home Administrators
  • Experience improving underperforming facilities strongly preferred
  • Experience supporting organizational growth or facility expansion is a plus
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Must be willing to travel regularly throughout Louisiana
  • Louisiana residency is not required
  • Active Nursing Home Administrator license preferred

Performance-based incentives are available based on growth, results, and the continued success of the organization.

What We're Looking For

We are looking for an operator who knows how to evaluate a building quickly, identify what is working, recognize what needs attention, and help facility leaders execute.

The right candidate will understand the balance between clinical performance, census, staffing, labor management, financial results, regulatory compliance, and long-term growth.

You do not need to live in Louisiana, but this is not a fully remote position. We are looking for someone who enjoys being in the facilities, working directly with leadership teams, and maintaining a regular presence throughout the region.
