Job Summary

Location: Gainesville, Georgia

We are seeking an experienced Regional Director of Operations (RDO) to lead a portfolio of healthcare foodservice accounts across Northeast Georgia. This position provides strategic leadership, operational oversight, and client relationship management for 4 acute care hospitals, 3 long-term care communities, and 1 behavioral health facility, all located within 45 minutes of Gainesville. As a key member of the regional leadership team, you will coach and develop site leaders, strengthen client partnerships, and drive operational, financial, and patient satisfaction outcomes across the region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, mentor, and develop Directors of Dining Services and healthcare foodservice leaders across multiple locations.
  • Drive exceptional patient, resident, visitor, and retail dining experiences while ensuring high standards of quality, safety, and hospitality.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with hospital executives, long-term care administrators, and key client stakeholders.
  • Oversee operational performance, regulatory compliance, food safety, quality assurance, and client satisfaction initiatives.
  • Own financial performance for the region, including budgeting, forecasting, labor management, and P&L accountability.
  • Support recruitment, succession planning, performance management, and leadership development activities.
  • Collaborate with regional and corporate teams to implement strategic initiatives and share best practices.
  • Serve as the primary point of escalation for operational and client concerns.
  • Drive performance against key metrics, including patient satisfaction, employee engagement, safety, retention, and profitability.
  • Partner with business development and retention teams during client presentations, renewals, and contract discussions.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, inclusion, continuous improvement, and service excellence.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Multi-unit leadership experience in healthcare foodservice, including acute care, long-term care, rehabilitation, or behavioral health environments.
  • Proven success managing large-scale operations, budgets, and client relationships.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience driving operational and profitability improvements.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop high-performing teams and build leadership bench strength.
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and influencing skills.
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience leading change and driving measurable improvements in service, quality, and financial performance.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Travel: Regular travel within the assigned territory. All locations are within a 45-minute radius, resulting in little to no overnight travel. You'll have the opportunity to lead a diverse healthcare portfolio while still sleeping in your own bed each night.
