Full Job Description
OBJECTIVE AND POSITION SUMMARY
The objective of the Regional Director of Homeownership is to provide strategic leadership and operational oversight of all Homeownership Program functions across Arizona and Nevada. This role ensures consistent service quality, regulatory compliance, and program effectiveness across both states. The Regional Director will guide program strategy, oversee multi-state performance, strengthen funding and partner relationships, and support organizational growth. Additionally, the Regional Director is responsible for supervising and developing the Regional Manager of Homeownership, ensuring that all program staff and services operate in alignment with organizational goals, HUD standards, and contractual requirements.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Regional Director supervises the Regional Manager and ensures consistent program delivery, quality, reporting, and team capacity across Arizona and Nevada. The Regional Director builds leadership capacity, sets performance expectations and program deliverables, evaluates performance, coaches, supports professional development, and partners with HR on corrective actions. This role exercises significant influence, with recommendations given particular weight, over hiring, discipline, and termination decisions. The Regional Director provides strategic leadership and is accountable for the performance and outcomes of assigned programs and teams in their department.
  • Supervise the Regional Manager and Housing Counselors; ensure teams meet goals.
  • Provide leadership coaching, performance evaluations, and talent development planning.
  • Ensure staffing levels meet contract and programmatic demand.
  • Ensure reporting requirements, internal and external, are accurate and completed on time.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES
Education/Background:
  • Bachelor's degree in social services, business, real estate, or related field (Master's preferred). Equivalent combinations of education and experience that demonstrate the ability to meet the requirements of the role may be considered.
  • 5-7+ years of experience in housing counseling, homeownership, or community-based services.
  • 3+ years supervisory experience with multi-site or multi-state teams.
  • HUD Housing Counseling Certification (or ability to obtain within 12 months).
  • Knowledge of mortgage lending, foreclosure prevention, financial capability, and homeowner assistance programs.
  • Proven experience building collaborative relationships with government agencies, financial institutions, and community stakeholders.
  • This position requires driving on behalf of the company and traveling region-wide. Candidates must hold a valid driver's license, meet the company's motor vehicle record (MVR) standards, meets company's insurance eligibility, and comply with all state and federal driving requirements. Ongoing employment is contingent upon maintaining an acceptable driving record.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
