You will be part of a team that is passionate about our purpose, committed to nurturing curiosity and new skills, and building connections across the organization with colleagues, customers, and guests.

The Role

The Regional Director of Finance serves as a strategic finance leader supporting Hyatt's global hotel portfolio and Hotel Finance organization. This role partners with Hotel Directors of Finance, General Managers, Regional Functional Leaders, ownership groups, corporate stakeholders, the Essentials Shared Services organization, and brand leadership to address complex business challenges, improve financial performance, strengthen operational effectiveness, and support key organizational priorities.

Acting as a flexible resource across regions and disciplines, this position is deployed to support high-priority business needs, including hotel performance initiatives, financial integrity reviews, strategic projects, operational assessments, organizational development, process improvements, and other initiatives as determined by Hotel Finance leadership. The role leverages financial expertise, operational insight, and cross-functional collaboration to drive sustainable business results across Hyatt's portfolio.

In addition, this role provides accounting oversight and strategic leadership for the Essentials Shared Services organization, ensuring consistent accounting practices, service delivery, compliance, and financial support across the portfolio. The Regional Director of Finance serves as a primary finance partner to hotel ownership groups, building trusted relationships through transparent communication, financial stewardship, and collaborative problem solving.

This position also serves as the strategic finance partner for Hyatt's Bunkhouse Hotels portfolio, collaborating with property leadership and ownership to support the unique financial and operational requirements of smaller, lifestyle hotels with food and beverage-driven business models. The role provides financial leadership that enhances profitability, operational execution, capital stewardship, and long-term value creation while ensuring alignment with Hyatt's financial standards and strategic objectives.

This position is responsible for supporting business goals by providing leadership and expertise in areas such as Financial Integrity and Performance, Hotel Acquisitions, Shared Services, Analytics, Bunkhouse Hotels, and other special projects. The position will ensure consistent application of finance policies and procedures through collaborative partnerships with Hotel Directors of Finance, Corporate Finance Groups, Lead Directors of Finance, the Essentials Shared Services organization, ownership representatives, and leadership within assigned projects, including:
• Lead and support special projects, strategic initiatives, and business priorities as assigned by Hotel Finance leadership. Partner with hotel leadership teams, ownership groups, regional functional leaders, and Shared Services leadership to develop, monitor, and execute action plans designed to improve hotel profitability, operational effectiveness, guest experience, and overall business performance.
• Provide strategic accounting oversight and leadership for the Essentials Shared Services organization, ensuring consistent financial processes, service quality, compliance, operational effectiveness, and continuous improvement.
• Serve as a primary finance liaison with hotel ownership groups, providing financial guidance, presenting business performance, addressing accounting matters, and fostering collaborative, trusted owner relationships.
• Serve as the strategic finance partner for Hyatt's Bunkhouse Hotels portfolio, collaborating with property leadership and ownership to support the unique financial and operational requirements of smaller, lifestyle hotels with food and beverage-driven business models. Provide financial leadership that enhances profitability, operational execution, capital stewardship, and long-term value creation while ensuring alignment with Hyatt's financial standards and strategic objectives.
• Conduct financial, operational, and organizational assessments to identify opportunities for improved business performance, operational effectiveness, and financial results.
• Partner with Hotel Directors of Finance, General Managers, Regional Functional Leaders, ownership groups, corporate stakeholders, and Shared Services teams to address complex business challenges and implement sustainable solutions.
• Support hotels and regional teams through detailed analysis, project leadership, performance improvement initiatives, operational reviews, and business transformation efforts.
• Conduct financial integrity and compliance reviews to ensure adherence to Hyatt policies, management agreements, accounting standards, internal control requirements, and Shared Services operating standards.
• Facilitate cross-functional collaboration among hotel, regional, Shared Services, ownership, corporate, and brand teams to drive execution of key business initiatives.
• Support annual planning, forecasting, business reviews, capital planning, and strategic decision-making through analytical insight and recommendations.
• Lead or participate in organizational, process improvement, systems, reporting, Shared Services optimization, and transformation initiatives across the Hotel Finance organization.
• Identify and promote best practices that improve efficiency, effectiveness, service delivery, operational excellence, and financial performance throughout the portfolio.
• Provide coaching, guidance, and developmental support to Hotel Directors of Finance, Shared Services leaders, and finance teams as appropriate.
• Ensure Management Agreement terms, the Uniform System of Accounts, Hyatt Standard Operating Procedures, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) are consistently followed across assigned hotels and Shared Services operations, providing direction and guidance as necessary.
• Maintain proficiency with hotel finance technologies, including Hotel Finance management systems, Microsoft Excel, Oracle, Hyperion, and other financial reporting and analytics platforms.
• Travel throughout the Americas, including international travel, as required to support business priorities, ownership relationships, Shared Services operations, Bunkhouse Hotels, and strategic initiatives.
