Full Job Description
Position Summary

Responsible for directing and ensuring the consistent application of and adherence to enterprise-wide Facilities Management program, policies, and procedures across all acute care facilities within an assigned region. This role ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, prepares sites for Joint Commission inspections, and provides advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving expertise. The Regional Director also indirectly leads and develops the facilities management teams within their region, fostering a culture of safety, continuous improvement, and excellence.

Essential Functions
  • Ensures consistent application and adherence to enterprise-wide Facilities Management policies and procedures across all sites within the assigned region.
  • Provides leadership and high-level expertise in troubleshooting complex facilities issues, including on-site tactical support during critical downtimes or failures.
  • Serves as liaison between local Facilities Management/Hospital Administration teams and the broader corporate support network (Asset Strategy, Safety, Infection Prevention, Clinical Engineering, IT, Supply Chain, etc.).
  • Ensures sites maintain comprehensive documentation and comply with all regulatory requirements, including local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Conducts regular audits to ensure an "ever-ready" state of compliance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Provides leadership and subject-matter expertise to support local sites in preparing for, executing, and closing out regulatory-related surveys and inspections (Joint Commission, AHCA, etc.).
  • Fosters a culture of continuous improvement and excellence through leadership, mentoring, and coaching of the Facilities Management team.
  • Meets regularly with local Facilities Management teams and Hospital Administration to ensure operational readiness and resolve issues.
  • Collaborates on capital project identification and justification, supports execution, and provides progress updates.
  • Supports strategic vision for Facilities Management in alignment with organizational goals.
  • Maintain compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures

Education/Training
  • Associate's degree or trade school certificate required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.

Licensure/Certification
  • Relevant certification(s) in Engineering, Facilities Management, or related field preferred (CHFM, CFM, CPMM, or PE).

Experience
  • Ten (10) years' experience in Engineering, Facilities Management, or Operations within a healthcare environment, with at least five (5) years in a leadership role.
  • In-depth experience with standards, audits, and surveys within a highly regulated environment.
