Job Title: Regional Development Manager (RDM) - Canada

Competency: Distribution Channel Development

Organizational context: Leads the ' what and when' of assigned Region. Regional team will consist of Area Sales Managers, Farm Management Service, Technical Support Service, a Milk Quality Specialist, and Channel Marketing who collaborate and work together in the region. Works closely with Support Service Management who lead the 'who and how' (HR responsibilities and ways of working) within the regional team, as well as the North America Sales Manager and Proposition Management to align with the 'what/when' for region success.

Summary:

The Regional Development Manager (RDM) is the relationship manager between Lely and the Lely Center and oversees the business planning, strategy, performance management and profitability of the Lely Center. The RDM leads assigned regional team members towards the 'what and when' of Premium Channel development to achieve regional targets and drive sales and adoption. The RDM ensures that different propositions are represented and communicated in an aligned way to the Lely Centers, safeguards an integrated proposition including consumables and spare parts, and secures the medium- and long-term development of the Premium Channel. Travel up to 45% domestically and/or internationally via car or plane.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
• Lead the 'what and when' activities of the regional team members to ensure LC's achieve sales and service targets, increase adoption and market share, and meet budgeted KPI performance and business results.
• Responsible for an effective, efficient, and accountable teamwork environment by collaborating closely and regularly with Support Service Management and Marketing on the 'who and how' and aligns with Proposition Management and the North America Sales Manager on the 'what and when', including timely communication and execution of strategies and a unified commitment to achieve desired results.
• Bring one aligned story out of the different propositions toward the Lely Center's which lead to a balanced Lely portfolio by keeping regular communication and collaboration with Proposition Managers.
• Oversee the development of business plans and strategies focused on improving growth in market share, dealers' financial return, superior customer experience levels, and penetration using co-investment program to expedite growth. Meets with Lely Center regarding budget, 5-year plan and KPI's.
• Execute the "review, plan, forecast" development model within the regional team by bringing the 'what and when'
• Empower Lely Center Dealers to become more effective and competitive through assessment of current business processes, systems, and employee management by identifying opportunities and/or solutions towards improvement or optimization.
• Rationalizes time spend for special requests from Lely International and makes determination of 'how and when' to partner together for the purpose of business progress and overall impact.
• Maintain business relationship between manufacturer and Lely Center network including agreement renewal, enforcement, termination, and negotiations.

Education and/or Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in agriculture or business management; MBA Preferred
• Minimum of 10 years' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Bilingual ability considered an asset (French/English)
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, PC networking, Outlook, and Presentation Software
