Summary: The Regional Construction Director is responsible for the oversight and has authority over the direction of all Five Guys construction projects within an assigned territory. These responsibilities are inclusive of all Five Guys locations, including Corporate (FGO) stores and Franchise locations. The Regional Construction Director implements and enforces Five Guys specifications and brand standards for all building projects to guarantee brand consistency throughout the company. These individuals are a critical component of the communication and collaboration with the Director - Design on all construction documents and overseeing the schedule of each construction project from REC approval through turnover to client.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Franchisee Locations- Develop, along with the Franchisee and the Director of Design, construction document submittals requiring Five Guys approval for all construction projects including refresh, conversions and new builds
- Drive collaboration with the Director of Design and architect(s) to ensure all Five Guys brand standards are incorporated into the final construction documents
- Provide expert level consultation with Franchisees on all construction scheduling, including permitting timeline, general contractor schedule, lead times for FF&E orders and turnover to the operations team
- Coordinate and oversee 2 to 3 site visits with franchisee and general contractors for each build
- Complete final walk throughs ensuring construction projects meet Five Guys brand standards, and approve the completion of construction in order to release the store for opening
- Communicate all schedule updates to the Vice President of Global Construction and Design and Five Guys Operations Division
Corporate Locations- Collaborate and coordinate all construction processes from conception to completion including permitting, signage approvals and inspection process per local jurisdiction.
- Work with Director - Design of on permitting process and completion of construction documents
- Manage Architects throughout permitting process.
- Acquire and onboard general contractors across regions
- Release all construction projects to approved bidders, approve bid and submit final budget to Vice President of Global Construction and Design
- Submit all RFP's (Request for Pricing) to Five Guys approved vendors, approve all submittals and
- manage contract signing
- Manage the general contractor throughout the entire construction timeline
- Complete necessary site visits during construction with general contractor to ensure all brand
- standards are met
- Ensure C of O and Heath Permits are acquired.
- Conduct a final inspection at the completion of construction and coordinate final turnover to the
- operations team
- Communicate all schedule updates to Vice President of Global Construction and Design and Five
- Guys Corporate
- Successfully roll out Five Guys initiatives to department team members ensuring understanding
- and adherence

Education/Experience:- 4 year college Degree preferred in Construction Management, or other related fields
- 5-7 years experience in commercial construction management
Language Ability:Excellent verbal and written skills are necessary. The successful candidate/employee will be required to
use written, verbal and group communication skills. The ability to read, write and comprehend complex
instructions and correspondences is necessary. It also requires the ability to read, analyze, create and
interpret general business memos and documents.
Math Ability:This position requires good business math skills.

The position requires pragmatic analyzing skills and problem-solving abilities.
Computer Skills:Exceptional computer skills required in Microsoft Office Suite, Internet, and other appropriate software

Physical Demands:This position may require long hours sitting and using office equipment and computers. There may also
be extensive lifting of supplies and materials. The use of hands and arms to reach for, grasp and
manipulate objects is required. Occasional travel will be required, with business needs dictating >50% in
certain periods of time.
