Full Job Description
Under the general direction of the Zone Modality Director, the Regional Clinical Manager leads and manages the operational activities for assigned modalities, locations, and support areas. While the range of duties and responsibilities is broad and varied, the position's major responsibilities are managing all day-to-day modality operations including the delivery of care, human resources management, equipment oversight, and performance improvement activities. The Regional Clinical Manager is a positive, effective member of the management team, fostering a patient focused perspective and ensuring a strong commitment to organizational service standards. The individual maintains collaborative multi-disciplinary relationships within and outside of the organization. Must be ARRT certified in either X-Ray, Mammography, CT, MRI, Ultrasound, or certified in multiple. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: • Recruit, retain and oversee onboarding of staff for assigned region, including but not limited to interviewing, orienting, and ensuring competency of hired technologists and TAs. • Manage staff for assigned region, including but not limited to safety and regulatory compliance standards, completion of all responsibilities of on-site technologists and TAs, team member performance and behavior. • Manage tech utilization to maximum efficiency to meet volume expectations and regional staffing expense budgetary goals. • In collaboration with Operations director, address formal disciplinary action as necessary. • Manage employees' schedules, including PTO/Sick time, management of overtime, payroll submissions to ensure sites have adequate coverage based on patient volume and operations expectations. • Coordinate training of new staff technologists / TAs, maintain staff competency and coordinate the training necessary to keep technologist staff current. • Attend leadership and multidisciplinary meetings. • Work with radiologists as needed. • Perform all other duties as assigned. • Demonstrates competencies in customer service and an understanding SimonMed Imaging code of conduct and culture. Under direction of operations, manage patient complaints. • Utilizes and operates equipment and mechanical devices which provide for a functional, effective, and safe environment. Maintains details of equipment functionality and updates rosters as changes occur. • Adheres to policies, procedures, guidelines relative to departmental operations. Participation in specific activities for the promotion of self-growth or the enhancement of a positive image. • Applies the standards of practice/performance in the work setting to achieve positive outcomes. Monitors and / or performs quality assurance on X-ray, MR and CT Equipment. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Experience: • Three (3) years health care supervisory experience or five (5) years of progressive relevant experience with demonstrated success and leadership skills. • ARRT certified in either X-Ray, Mammography, CT, MRI, Ultrasound, or certified in multiple Certifications/Licenses: • Certification by appropriate Radiology/Medical Imaging body through American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), or American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT). • A valid "Hands On" CPR and active radiologic technologist license in assigned state(s). PHYSICAL DEMANDS: This position may require duties including lifting and carrying up to 40 pounds, sitting for prolonged periods of time, with frequent standing and walking. Good visual and auditory acuity as well as good manual dexterity and the ability to be readily understood are essential. Must be able to work in an environment with multiple deadlines and priorities. DRESS ATTIRE: Business Casual; Polo with SimonMed Logo; Scrubs as needed.
