Qualifications

• Current RN licensure as per state regulations.
• BLS certification; ACLS preferred.
• Preferred CRRN certification.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or a related field; higher degree required by state takes precedence.
• Five years experience in an inpatient hospital setting.
• Two years of nursing management experience with comprehensive responsibilities.
• Minimum two years experience in Director of Nursing/CNO role or equivalent in an acute care or rehab setting.

Responsibilities

• Solicit feedback from local CNOs on quality of care and outcomes.
• Create positive impacts on productivity, costs, quality, and service delivery.
• Review and monitor critical hospital metrics to address negative trends.
• Ensure compliance with The Joint Commission and regulatory requirements.
• Serve on and support the nursing advisory board.
• Consult with and assist other hospitals in the region as needed.
• Provide clinical perspectives on various nursing responsibilities.
• Support the Regional Team and resource for SVP, CEOs, and CNOs.
• Communicate documentation standards and best practices with local CNOs.
• Train and assist new CNOs during their orientation.
• Lead nursing teams in identifying and addressing new nursing issues and concerns.
