Regional Channel Manager - Mid West

Position Overview

Siemens, a global powerhouse in electrical and electronic engineering, is looking for a sales engineer to sell our electrical products to Contractors in the residential market through our Channel.

Regional Channel Manager - Mid West

This position will be remote in Chicago, Indianapolis, Detroit, Cleveland & Cincinnati metro areas.

Role Description

You'll make an impact by:
  • Achieve Regional Channel Sales Target (Quota Sales). Develop and execute sales plans to drive market share and revenue growth through traditional / alternate / retail distribution partners in the Region
  • Lead Channel Sales Team in the Region with a balance of empowerment and accountability. Regionalize / Adapt Sales Strategies for growth. Develop / On-board Best-in-Class distributors to drive market share and revenue growth across traditional / alternate / retails distributors
  • Drive regular communication and engagement at all levels with partners in the region. Be the first point of escalation for partner issues. Resolve issues and manage conflict. Identify low performing partners and implement Performance Improvement Plans.
  • Implement efficiency improvement measures in the regions and highlight activities / processes that need to be reviewed. Empower DSE's to achieve planned results and ensure accountability by periodic review and support.
  • Perpetually work to achieve Win-Win for product and project sales teams. Relentlessly encourage teams in the region to collaborate towards mutual success.
  • Engage with Business Segments to align market approaches and tactical decisions on a regular basis. Provide feedback on BU Program implementation in the regions / status + modifications.
  • Support regional Brick-and-Mortar Distributors in establishing web-shops and on-line presence in line with On-line sales policy with back-up support from On-line Execution team.
  • Identify, record and follow up on local opportunities with and through distributors. Provide planning estimates and market outlook to businesses to support financial planning and production / SCM. Encourage use of CRM tool (SiSales) for opportunity tracking and planning
  • Actively support and engage National Accounts Managers for key accounts in the region. Utilize relationships to increase share of mind and wallet.
  • Work closely with back office for Channel Management and Governance in efficient and collaborative manner. Establish Annual planning, policy enforcement and business reviews as part of overall partner Governance. Provide feedback for policy and process improvement.
  • Promote high "Share-of-Wallet" for products from all Siemens PSS business Units with distributors. Identify and exploit cross selling opportunities.
  • Coordinate regularly with Industrial RCM to achieve best results for Siemens.
  • Monitor market developments and competitor actions in the region to identify actionable intelligence at regional / national level. Periodic / exception reporting to National Channel Manager on such topics. Highlight prospective partners available in region / white spots where coverage is required.
  • Utilize knowledge of market conditions, competitive strategies, and processes to develop a unique value proposition and position Siemens as the vendor of choice.
  • Act as the knowledge expert on the market dynamics and competitive landscape of the assigned territory.

The pay range for this position is 142,372.00 - 244,066.00 annually with a target incentive of 42 of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
