About This Role

As a Regional Business Development Specialist - Texas Markets at Kelso Industries, you will be working in our service division, as an employee of Kelso Building Services.

This is a regionally focused marketing and business development role dedicated to growing the Kelso Building Services brand and customer base across Houston, Dallas, Austin, and San Antonio. You will serve as the face of Kelso Building Services in the Texas markets - representing the company at trade shows and industry events, hosting customer and networking functions, and leveraging your established customer networks to open doors and drive new business.

Success in this role is measured by the strength of the relationships you build, the visibility you create for our brand, and the qualified opportunities you generate for our regional sales teams.

What You'll Do
  • Represent Kelso Building Services at trade shows, industry conferences, and association events (e.g., BOMA, IFMA, IREM, TAB) across Houston, Dallas, Austin, and San Antonio.
  • Plan, host, and execute regional customer events, networking functions, lunch-and-learns, and client appreciation events that build brand awareness and generate opportunities.
  • Leverage established customer networks in the Houston, Dallas, Austin, and San Antonio commercial real estate and facilities markets to open doors with property managers, facility directors, and owners.
  • Drive regional marketing initiatives - campaigns, sponsorships, association memberships, and social media presence - to position Kelso Building Services as a leading commercial HVAC and building services provider in Texas.
  • Generate and qualify new business opportunities through networking, referrals, and strategic outreach, and hand off qualified leads to regional sales teams.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with key decision-makers to encourage repeat business and referrals.
  • Collaborate with sales leadership, field operations, and marketing to align regional events and campaigns with growth targets.
  • Track event ROI, pipeline contribution, and networking activity in CRM, reporting results to sales leadership.
  • Stay current on Texas market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments.

What You'll Bring
  • 7+ years of experience in networking and business development, preferably in commercial HVAC, building services, commercial real estate, or facilities services.
  • Established customer networks in the Houston, Dallas, Austin, and San Antonio markets - including property management, facilities, and ownership groups.
  • Proven track record representing a company at trade shows, industry events, and professional associations.
  • Experience planning and hosting customer events and networking functions that produce measurable business results.
  • Strong marketing instincts - comfortable promoting a brand through events, sponsorships, and social media.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Self-motivated with a results-driven approach and the ability to work independently across a multi-city territory.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to travel regularly between Houston, Dallas, Austin, and San Antonio.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
