You will coach your teams to operate in alignment with the credit union's mission, vision, core purpose, and core values, resolve escalated member situations, and keep every branch aligned with policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

This role blends big-picture oversight with hands-on leadership - hiring and developing talent, analyzing branch performance, collaborating with fellow Regional AVPs and others across the credit union, and representing Community First Credit Union in the communities you serve.

  • Lead branch performance and growth. Guide Branch Managers and their teams to operate branches focused on member service and growth, ensuring Community First Credit Union goals and expectations are met consistently and efficiently.
  • Build and develop high-performing teams. Participate in interviewing, hiring, and training; appraise performance; address complaints and resolve problems as they arise.
  • Maximize performance through coaching. Drive accountability, coaching, team building, and career development to maximize performance and consistency across your region.
  • Ensure consistency and compliance. Ensure policies and procedures are followed consistently across all branches, and navigate questions pertaining to regulations as they relate to policies and procedures.
  • Drive collaboration and project leadership. Lead and collaborate on project teams with other Regional AVPs and folks across the credit union to create consistency and efficiencies throughout the organization.
  • Resolve member issues and monitor performance. Resolve, track, and provide timely reporting on complex or escalated member situations, and review and analyze reports that summarize branch performance to determine appropriate actions.
  • Champion community presence. Ensure branches provide a welcoming environment for members and employees, and maintain a positive image in the community through volunteer opportunities.

We are looking for a combination of:
  • Bachelor's degree or a combination of education and relevant experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience will always be considered.
  • 8+ years of financial services experience.
  • 5+ years of management experience.
  • Have or be able to obtain a Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) number.
  • Strong knowledge of products and services offered, including deposits, lending, investments, and insurance.
  • Proven ability to hire, lead, and develop teams to achieve desired goals and results.
  • Strong analytical skills to assist in monitoring and enhancing performance.
  • Effective written, verbal, and interpersonal communication and presentation skills.
  • Proven ability to manage change and resolve conflicts, with excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong Microsoft Office experience - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license; frequent vehicle travel is required to regularly visit branches.
