The roleWe currently have an opening for a full-time
Regional Account Manager. This is a remote position based in Florida (Central/South).
Reporting to the Regional Business Manager, the Regional Account Manager is responsible for maintaining the current business and driving sales growth with ALK AIT products: Bulk Extracts and future pharmaceutical products.
Your responsibilityMaintain and grow current base business, and establish long-term loyalty by:
- Leveraging existing account relationships; work with KOL's and thought-leaders to develop sales of prescriptive products within the assigned territory
- Assessing customer's needs and presenting products and services, i.e. AIT, VAS, ALK Advantage Program, and consulting services
- Contacting top accounts monthly to ensure that ALK is still their vendor of choice
- Identifying and calling on competitor's top accounts to present ALK and close product lines; coordinate appointments for sales management and scientific services teams to present high-level scientific information to accounts
- Prospecting non-allergist ENTs to discuss the benefits of adding allergy testing and treatment to their practice; convince them to use ALK as their vendor if allergy services are already being offered
- Reviewing sales reports monthly to identify sales trends
Keep management updated regarding field activity by completing administrative requests according to each respective deadline which includes:
- Keeping Outlook calendar updated with all appointments and planned travel; 60-day schedule required
- Entering notes and updates into CRM upon the completion or every sales interaction; updates should entail account status/comments and/or competitive information; weekly minimum of 30 updates required
- Completing expense report through Concur; monthly requirement
- Maintain target account list
Updating sales management monthly concerning the following:
- Top 10 prospects
- Top accounts
- Accounts ahead / Accounts behind (running list of key accounts)
- New business review
- New proposals generated
- Product promotions, or focus (ancillary, syringes, venoms, etc.)
- Maintain sample inventory and abide by all applicable rules and regulations set forth
- Review 3rd party papers, marketing material, product inserts, etc.
- Participate in Sales training courses that ALK, Inc. will have on a regular basis in the future
This position requires heavy travel to include approximately 2-3 overnights per week and 3-5 company-related events per year (over weekends), i.e. tradeshows and sales meetings.
Your profile- Bachelors degree in Business, Finance, or Marketing preferred
- Time management: complete work within time lines and quality parameters
- Meet customer and profitability requirement
- Ability to complete and analyze the Monthly Report to make decisions and draw conclusions about the status of the territory
- Ability to recognize trends and notice competitive influence on the territory
- Ability to bring in increased revenue to hit quarterly and annual quotas (updated weekly)
- Ability to recognize and communicate changes in the allergy marketplace, either economic, political, technical, or competitive with Sales Management, Marketing, Science, and Regulatory.
