Full Job Description
Responsibilities

This position will report directly to the Regional Vice President of Pharmacy and will collaborate with the other 340B team members within the National Prime Organization.

  • Serves as the primary individual responsible for billing and revenue cycle data validation and routine audits which simulate and prepare the health system for HRSA audits.
  • Provides system administrator functions related to maintaining accurate data within the Verity and CaptureRx systems for eligible practice sites, eligible providers, and audits of same.
  • Maintains financial data regarding invoices received from 340B savings and creates year to year analysis each month for same.
  • Participates in the development, implementation and evaluation of Policies and Procedures.
  • Ensures proper control and record keeping for 340B program compliance routinely reviews records to assure compliance.
  • Prepares repots of pharmaceutical purchasing, dispensing ad billing from 3rd party software as well as department data systems.
  • Adjudications of reports and analysis to the NDC level of drug products.


Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

Required qualifications:

1) License required: Current state Registered Pharmacist License.

2) Education:

a. B.S. in Pharmacy or PharmD degree required

b. Completion of 340B University (Apexus Prime Vendor Program): If not already completed, successful completion within 4 months of employment.

3) Experience:

a. Minimum of 3 years managing a 340B Program for multiple covered entities

b. Minimum of 7 years of overall related pharmacy experience with 3 years management experience (operations, budget, staff oversight, pharmacy billing/revenue cycle and pharmacy systems).

c. Comprehensive knowledge of pharmacy practices and knowledge of 340B program

i. Knowledge of 340B program regulatory and compliance requirements

ii. Solid understanding of 340B auditing standards, techniques, and procedures

iii. Solid understanding of financial concepts

iv. Knowledge of the issues, trends, and challenges presented by participation in the 340B program

d. Microsoft Office Professional Applications.

e. Strong communication skills in both verbal and written form to facilitate interactions with vendors, IT staff, and administrators. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and data organization mandatory. Requires the ability to manage multiple priorities and considerable multi-tasking daily. Must be able to use judgement and work independently with the ability to meet deadlines and consistently prioritize competing tasks. Requires the ability to approach and solve problems analytically.

Preferred qualifications:

1) Education: Master's Degree

2) Preferred Experience:

a. Experience with purchase, procurement, and contract negotiations.

b. Experience with 340B Third-Party Agreements (TPAs)

c. Experience with contract pharmacy workflows and 340B audit management

d. Demonstrated ability to use Electronic Medical Record system and review patient encounters responsible for the generation of 340B eligible prescriptions.

e. Active involvement with national 340B organizations

3) Certification: 340B Apexus Certified Expert (ACE) Certification preferred

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $197,600.00 to $282,048.00 on an annualized basis. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
