The Registered Pharmacist will review physician's orders (prescriptions) and existing therapy to ensure the rationality, provide drug information services to physicians, nurses and allied health professional with regards to dosing, drug interactions, adverse drug reactions, pharmacokinetics, rational drug therapy.
Candidates must have:
- Bachelor's Degree or PharmD from an accredited College of Pharmacy
- Current New York State License to practice as a registered pharmacist
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience
- Proficiency of Microsoft
- Minimum of 45 wpm
Education:To qualify a Bachelor of Science Degree in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy Degree is required.
Licensing/Certifications:
New York State Pharmacist License and Current Registration. Certified Immunizer Required.
Experience:At least
three (3) years of experience as a licensed community retail/outpatient pharmacist required; Previous institutional experience helpful, but not required; On-the-job training after employment is necessary; Ability to multi-task and set priorities; Computer skills; Experience with Micro Merchant PrimeRx pharmacy software (Preferred); 340B pharmacy experience (Preferred);
- Possesses excellent mathematical ability, attention to detail, concentration, and alertness.
- Knows how to organize and prioritize work while illustrating good time management skills
- Demonstrates the ability to safely handle medications
- Exhibits professional and respectable oral communication with co-workers, patients, outside vendors, and other health care affiliates.
- Presents aptitude to multi-task, work independently, and engage in teamwork
- Can proficiently read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Is open to training/giving and receiving instructions.
