Worley Canada Construction is seeking an experienced
Recruitment Manager to join our growing People Team in Edmonton, Alberta.
Responsibilities:- Provide strategic direction, guidance, and coaching to support team effectiveness and business objectives.
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing Recruitment team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Oversee the hiring, onboarding, training, performance management, and development of the recruitment team.
- Manage team budgets, expenses, workload distribution, time-off requests, and performance reviews.
- Partner with Operations and Project Leadership to develop workforce plans, align staffing strategies, and support project workforce forecasting.
- Facilitate workforce planning meetings and communicate staffing priorities, recruitment activities, and mobilization logistics.
- Develop and maintain standardized workforce planning processes, documentation, reporting tools, and recruitment best practices.
- Interpret and apply collective agreements, pre-job conference reports, site documentation, client requirements, and project-specific guidelines to recruitment and hiring practices.
- Oversee recruitment operations, including requisition management, applicant pipelines, staffing progress, and hiring metrics.
- Ensure workforce, recruitment, and onboarding data integrity, leveraging analytics and reporting to provide actionable insights that support strategic planning and operational performance.
- Oversee onboarding processes to ensure compliance, readiness, and a positive new-hire experience.
- Drive effective communication and alignment between field operations, project teams, and corporate functions to support workforce delivery.
Qualifications: - Certificate, diploma or degree in Human Resources is preferred.
- Minimum 6 years experience in high volume recruiting with 3 years in a leadership role.
- Trades specific recruitment experience is strongly preferred, specifically in Industrial construction.
- Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and high-volume project demands.
- Experience supporting recruitment needs across multiple projects and across multiple provinces is an asset.
- Knowledge of relevant Provincial legislation.
- Proficient in key office software and productivity tools such as: Microsoft Office tools including MS Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and HRIS systems.
- Interpersonal skills - establish direct working relationships and rapport with all levels within the organization, strong and effective communication skills including verbal, written, and presentation.
- Excellent organizational and planning skills.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to develop and mentor a high-volume recruitment team.
- Must be a team player and possess a strong work ethic.
- Must have a passion for recruitment.
