The Opportunity
As TC Energy continues to meet the growing demand for energy across North America, we are seeking a Recruitment Consultant to support hiring across business unit and corporate client groups.
In this role, you will provide recruitment expertise and trusted guidance to business leaders, hiring teams, and HR partners to help attract, assess, and secure the talent needed to support TC Energy’s business priorities.
As part of a geographically dispersed Talent Acquisition team, you will collaborate with colleagues across North America to deliver a consistent, high-quality recruitment experience.
You will play an important role in shaping the first impression candidates have of TC Energy. By building strong relationships, providing thoughtful recruitment advice, and creating a positive experience for candidates and hiring leaders, you will help open the door to rewarding careers with our company.
What You’ll do
- Act as a trusted recruitment partner to business leaders, hiring teams, and HR partners, providing guidance across the full recruitment lifecycle.
- Design and execute sourcing strategies that attract qualified, diverse talent through market research, networking, referrals, digital tools, and proactive outreach.
- Manage candidate pipelines and recruitment activity with a strong focus on quality, timeliness, inclusivity, and candidate experience.
- Assess candidates through screening interviews, developing clear recommendations and presenting qualified shortlists to hiring leaders.
- Provide market insights, funnel metrics, and recruitment trends to support informed decision-making and continuous improvement.
- Build strong relationships with candidates, hiring leaders, and HR partners by delivering responsive, consistent, and consultative support.
- Identify and recommend improvements to recruitment processes, tools, and practices to create efficiencies while maintaining a high-quality hiring experience.
- Support business and workforce priorities by collaborating across HR and Talent Acquisition teams.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, marketing or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 6+ years experience in a strategic, full cycle Recruitment function.
- Knowledge and understanding of the full-life cycle of the recruiting process including recruiting and sourcing techniques.
- Familiarity with behavioral interviewing, probing, and assessment methodologies.
- Familiarity with applicant tracking systems, recruitment marketing software, and employee databases.
- Ability to influence at all levelsof the organizationand as a valued consultant to the hiring team.
- Knowledgeable of employer branding techniques.
Preferred qualifications
- A professional designation is desired such as a Professional in Human Resources certification (PHR)
**In the performance of this role, travel of approximately 10% is required to various client locations across borders, and as such the successful candidate must be able to provide applicable documentation to this effect.
