Job Description

The Receiving Inspection Supervisor is responsible for leading the Receiving Inspection team and coordinating Supplier Engineering support activities to ensure compliant receipt, verification, and documentation of incoming materials, hardware, and components. This role ensures inspections are performed per applicable procedures, oversees supplier-related quality requirements, and drives continuous improvement of inspection and supplier-related processes.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Supervise daily Receiving Inspection operations ensuring all incoming hardware, raw materials, field return units, and products undergo inspection in accordance with established procedures.
  • Maintain compliance with documentation, traceability, and certification requirements.
  • Coordinate with Supplier Engineering and Supplier Quality to ensure supplier documentation and quality clauses are met.
  • Support evaluation and acceptance of supplier documentation, including certifications and contractual flowdown compliance.
  • Lead and develop a team of Receiving Inspectors; ensure inspectors meet qualification, training, and competency requirements.
  • Assign daily workload, manage performance, and foster a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
  • Maintain and enforce receiving inspection procedures and documentation controls.
  • Identify systemic issues through rejection trends and inspector feedback; Report every 5 weeks during Failure Review Board (FRB) and lead associated corrective & preventive actions.


Qualifications

YOU MUST HAVE
  • Minimum of 18-months experience in aerospace, defense, electronics, or precision manufacturing quality inspection environments.
  • Strong understanding of receiving inspection processes and material traceability.
  • Familiarity with SAP or similar ERP systems for inspection workflows.
  • Knowledge of supplier quality processes including contractual flow downs.
  • Ability to lead and develop inspection teams and collaborate cross-functionally.
  • Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status.


WE VALUE
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
  • Experience leading and managing quality control teams in a manufacturing or industrial setting
  • Familiarity with Net Inspect, Discus, or other First Article Inspection Reporting Software
  • Familiarity with Doc Records software for scanning, storing, and retrieving hardcopy records
  • Familiarity with Receiving Inspection equipment such as XRF, CMMs, etc.
  • Experience with quality tools: control plans, SPC, root cause analysis, etc.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001, AS9100, or other quality management systems
  • Understanding of export/import controls for receiving material.

The annual base salary range for this position is between 84k -127k. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.
