Purpose of Role:We are seeking an experienced Commercial Real Estate Paralegal to support attorneys in all phases of commercial and industrial real estate transactions. This is a full-time, in-person position based in our Roseland, New Jersey office. The successful candidate will manage transactions from due diligence through closing and post-closing while working closely with attorneys, clients, title companies, and other professionals.
Responsibilities:- Manage commercial real estate transactions from opening through closing.
- Prepare and maintain deal files, checklists, and closing documents.
- Draft and revise transaction documents, correspondence, and organizational documents.
- Conduct and coordinate due diligence, including review of title commitments, surveys, zoning reports, and related documentation.
- Prepare signature packages, closing binders, and post-closing deliverables.
- Coordinate with clients, attorneys, title companies, lenders, and other third parties.
- Prepare closing statements and assist with escrow-style closings.
- Maintain accurate daily time entries and transaction records.
- Travel locally as needed to attend client meetings and closings.
Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree and/or Paralegal Certificate.
- Five (5)+ years of commercial real estate paralegal experience, preferably in a law firm environment.
- Experience with title and survey review, entity formation, due diligence, and closing coordination.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Kofax.
- Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple transactions and deadlines with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Notary Public designation, or willingness to obtain one, preferred.
- Experience obtaining EINs and filing related IRS forms is a plus.
- Willingness to work overtime, including occasional evenings and weekends, as needed.
Compensation & Benefits: This position offers a salary range of $75,000 - $95,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, skills, and qualifications. Support staff may also be eligible for discretionary year-end bonuses and a merit-based increase.
