Responsibilities

Full Job Description
CBM Ready-Mix is seeking a Sales Representative, based in Burlington.

This position is a permanent full-time vacancy.

Annual salary range: $80,000.00-$85,000.00 - depending on experience.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch personnel regarding customer requirements, changes to existing orders and status of potential orders.
  • Communicate with operations to maintain focus on reserve management to balance aggregate production with sales.
  • Budget volume of saled and pricing on individual products for the year and monitors these metrics to aid in developing contingency plans to ensure targets are achieved.
  • Monitor daily inventory of primary products to ensure accurate reporting.
  • Develop new ideas and plans to utilize by-products.
  • Provide assistance to the Credit department, where required to develop plans on how to collect on certain customer accounts.
  • Bid tendered work, where required and where it matches the company strategy and brings value to the company.
  • Negotiate trucking rates for independent truckers.
  • Arrange scheduling of independent truckers and ensure they are always available and their behaivour meets CBM standards.
  • Act as a first contact or follow up for customers with problems and complaints.
  • Attend Aggregate sales meetings to improve inter-divisional collaboration, communication and the sharing of information and ideas.
  • Other duties as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Must have at least 5 years of previous experience in ready-mix sales, with a focus on customer relationship management.
  • Postsecondary education in related fields, either college or university
  • Valid Ontario G Class drivers license, with access to a personal vehicle
  • Ability to effectively communicate, negotiate and solve problems
  • Adept with basic computer functions including Microsoft Office products
