Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Biostatistician II within the Rutgers Contract Research Collaboratory (RCRC), part of the Rutgers Institute for Translational Medicine and Science (RITMS).

The Biostatistician II position offers the opportunity to collaborate with multidisciplinary investigators, clinical study teams, data managers, and regulatory professionals while contributing to study design, statistical analysis, scientific reporting, and publication activities. The successful candidate will independently execute routine statistical activities for assigned studies while working under the scientific oversight of a faculty statistician. The individual will serve as a key statistical contributor to study teams and help ensure the quality, integrity, and reproducibility of statistical deliverables throughout the research lifecycle.

Responsibilities include:
  • Independently perform statistical analyses for assigned clinical and translational research studies.
  • Develop, validate, and maintain statistical programs and analysis datasets.
  • Prepare and review statistical outputs including tables, listings, figures, and reports.
  • Contribute to protocol reviews, statistical planning discussions, and analysis plan development.
  • Identify and communicate methodological, statistical, and data-related issues.
  • Participate in interpretation and communication of statistical findings.
  • Contribute to manuscripts, presentations, study reports, grant applications, and scientific publications.
  • Collaborate with investigators, clinical study managers, data managers, and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure statistical deliverables comply with applicable quality and regulatory requirements.
  • Support onboarding, training, and knowledge-sharing activities within the Biostatistics function.

  • Bachelor's degree in Biostatistics, Statistics, Public Health, Epidemiology, Data Science, or related quantitative discipline plus five (5) years of relevant professional experience in biostatistics, clinical research, public health research, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience; or a Master's degree in Biostatistics, Statistics, Public Health, Epidemiology, Data Science, or related quantitative discipline plus three (3) years of relevant professional experience in biostatistics, clinical research, public health research, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


Certifications/Licenses

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
