Ralliant Business System Leader (RBSL)

Location: Viersen, Germany (Onsite)

Position Summary

The Ralliant Business System Leader (RBSL), is responsible for leading the deployment and continuous evolution of the Ralliant Business System at Elektro-Automatik (EA). Reporting to the Chief Operations Officer, this role partners across Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, and Business Operations to improve safety, quality, delivery, cost, and customer satisfaction through operational excellence.

This leader serves as the site's Continuous Improvement champion by embedding Lean principles, daily management, problem solving, and leader standard work into the way the organization operates. Success is measured not only by operational improvements, but by building leadership capability and establishing a sustainable culture of continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Business System Leadership

  • Lead the implementation and maturity of the Ralliant Business System across the EA organization.
  • Partner with the General Manager and leadership team to develop and execute the site's continuous improvement strategy.
  • Drive a culture where continuous improvement is integrated into daily operations and leadership behaviors.
  • Align improvement initiatives with business objectives and strategic priorities.

Operational Excellence

  • Lead cross-functional initiatives that improve Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Productivity, Inventory, and Customer Satisfaction.
  • Facilitate Lean transformation activities including Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen Events, Daily Management, Visual Management, Standard Work, Gemba Walks, and structured problem solving.
  • Identify and eliminate waste while improving process capability, flow, and operational performance.
  • Establish sustainable management systems that ensure improvements are maintained over time.

Leadership & Capability Development

  • Coach leaders and teams on Lean leadership principles, continuous improvement methodologies, and effective problem solving.
  • Develop internal Continuous Improvement capability through mentoring, training, and hands-on coaching.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and data-driven decision making.

Performance & Change Management

  • Develop and monitor key operational performance metrics and visual management systems.
  • Use data and business insights to identify improvement opportunities and measure results.
  • Lead organizational change initiatives that improve business performance while engaging employees at all levels.
  • Communicate progress, results, and best practices to site and corporate leadership.

Business Impact

  • Deliver measurable improvements in productivity, quality, lead time, inventory, and operating cost.
  • Support strategic initiatives that improve manufacturing competitiveness and customer value.
  • Partner with Engineering to improve manufacturability, production readiness, and operational performance throughout the product lifecycle.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations, Industrial Engineering, Business, or related technical discipline.
  • 10+ years of manufacturing or operations experience with at least 5 years leading Continuous Improvement or Lean transformation initiatives.
  • Demonstrated success implementing Lean Manufacturing or Business System methodologies in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Lean principles including Daily Management, Standard Work, Value Stream Mapping, Visual Management, Kaizen, Root Cause Problem Solving, and Strategy Deployment.
  • Proven ability to influence leaders and drive change across multiple functions without direct authority.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, facilitation, and project management skills.
  • Fluent in English with the ability to work in a global organization.

Preferred

  • Master's degree in Engineering, Operations, or Business Administration.
  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt (or equivalent).
  • Experience with the Danaher Business System (DBS), Fortive Business System (FBS), Ralliant Business System (RBS), Toyota Production System, or similar Lean operating systems.
  • Experience in electronics, industrial equipment, power electronics, or high-mix manufacturing environments.
  • German language proficiency.
