Salary: $32.15 - $44.82 per hour
How you'll make an impact in this role- Obtain high-quality radiologic images by accurately positioning patients and selecting appropriate exposure parameters.
- Adhere to radiation safety protocols, including minimizing unnecessary patient exposure, and properly administer contrast media and medications within regulatory guidelines.
- Observe patients throughout procedures, ensuring their well-being and reporting any abnormal activity.
- Ensure prompt, accurate submission of images and patient data to PACS; maintain equipment functionality and report malfunctions to appropriate personnel.
- Assist in maintaining a clean, orderly, and efficient department, and recommend protocol updates or refinements as needed.
What minimum requirements you'll needLicensure / Certification / Registration:
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- Radiologic Technologist credentialed from the Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
- One or more of the following required:
- Cardiographic Tech credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date.
- Limited Radiology Technician credentialed from the Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date.
- Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date. Any specialty accepted. Temporary ARRT license allowed in lieu of permanent license.
Education:
- High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
