Description
The Radiology Manager is responsible for the company's imaging equipment and leading and managing the Radiology department. This position will oversee the equipment, maintenance, accreditations, reaccreditations, and DHEC records. This position will ensure company policies and procedures are being adhered to as they pertain to their department and staff.
Essential Functions

1. Develop and maintain Radiology staffing schedules at all sites.
2. Anticipates staffing coverage needs, rearranges coverage when necessary to ensure smooth operations, elevates staffing issues to the Director of Ancillary Operations when appropriate.
3. Conducts staff meetings as needed.
4. Supervises, trains, counsels assigned staff as appropriate with input from the Director of Ancillary Operations. Assists with and makes recommendations to hire, counsel, and terminate to Human Resources.
5. Oversee service contracts and techs who maintain all imaging equipment.
6. Maintains all service requests for all locations after maintaining approval for repairs from Director of Ancillary Operations.
7. Maintains all patient schedules and flow of the Radiology department.
8. Maintain MRI accreditation and reaccreditation of all MRI machines.
9. Maintain DHEC X-ray Records and registration of all equipment.
10. Maintain dosimetry registration and reports for all radiology staff and providers.
11. Communicates in real-time with appropriate directors and management staff to ensure that continuity of care/practice across all locations.
12. Maintains strong channels of regular communication and implements necessary internal controls to ensure policy and procedure compliance, and to report any change.
13. Completes reviews, coaching, and training for assigned team members.
14. Cover in radiology departments as needed
15. Maintain compliance with all regulations and company policies and procedures.

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional clinical environment. Exposure to a strong magnetic field, manager must use standards of precaution when entering the magnetic environment.

While performing the duties of this job, physical activity is intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by individuals assigned to this position. Ability to sit, stand, bend, crouch, walk, move equipment and transfer patients. Visual and auditory acuity for frequent use of computer and telephone and occasionally other office equipment
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work vary according to the Radiology schedule.
Travel
Frequent travel to and from other OrthoSC locations may be required.
Required Qualifications
1. High school diploma
2. Completion of an accredited radiology/MRI program/active license (ARRT)
3. Ability to multi-task efficiently and effectively
4. 3-5 years' experience as an MRI technician
5. MRSO or ability to take exam to become MRSO certified within first 90 days of role.
