Job Title: Radiologic Technologist
Profession: Radiologic Technologist

Duration: 13 Weeks (with possibility to extend)
Shift: 3 12-hour shifts or 4 10-hour shifts
Hours per Shift: 10 hours or 12 hours
Experience: Minimum 2 years experience
License: Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) and have the advanced registry in Computed Tomography (CT) or be registry-eligible
Certifications: BLS

Must meet or exceed core customer service responsibilities and standards.
Must possess personal qualities such as being self-directed, flexible, and committed to teamwork.
Demonstrates excellent communication and customer service values.

Description:
Under general supervision, specializes in performing computerized tomographic radiological procedures on patients.
May perform general diagnostic radiology examinations.
Explains examination procedures to patients and prepares them for the examination.
Reviews clinical data on requisition and performs the appropriate examination.
Obtains additional information about the patient's medical history as necessary.
Prepares the procedure room and regularly replenishes stock such as linen and related supplies.
Analyzes anatomical structures of patients, sets up equipment, and performs the CT scan.
Manually controls the equipment to obtain proper diagnostic information from the area of the body being studied.
Administers intravenous contrast media and monitors patients for possible reactions.
Provides immediate care to patients if a reaction occurs.
May prepare and set up sterile equipment, monitors, and supplies required for the procedure.
Ensures adequate supplies are on hand and properly stored.
Assists in performing complex sterile diagnostic procedures such as biopsies.
Performs all imaging procedures demonstrating radiation protection principles.
Resolves image exceptions and ensures high-quality image delivery into the imaging system.
Completes all study indexing in the Radiology Information System.
Reviews and confirms clinical protocols with the Radiologist before performing studies.
Demonstrates teamwork and a positive attitude.
Performs all documentation necessary in the medical record and within the imaging system to support clinical functions.
May work in a hospital setting or in an ambulatory mobile unit.
May be exposed to radiation and high-voltage equipment if proper precautions are not utilized.
May occasionally lift and/or move equipment and/or patients that exceed 10 lbs.
