Radiation Therapist
Position Overview
- Location: Spring Hill, FL (Radiation Oncology Clinic)
- Openings: 2 Immediate Openings
- Schedule: 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM (7:30 AM start required for morning warm-ups and QA). Potential to run until 5:00 PM or 5:30 PM depending on patient census.
- Hours: Strictly capped at 40 hours per week (No overtime required).
- Travel Requirement: None. This role is dedicated solely to the Spring Hill office with no regional floating required.
Compensation & Perks
- Local Rate: $2,600 weekly gross ($65/hr)
- Travel Rate: Up to $2,775 weekly gross ($1575 Nontaxed)
Key Responsibilities
Working under the direction of the Dosimetrist, Radiation Therapy Physicist, and/or Radiation Oncologist, you will administer radiation treatments to cancer patients with a "Patients First" motto. You will operate within a collaborative 5-therapist rotation utilizing top-tier technology.
- Treatment Delivery: Accurately deliver radiation treatments according to prescribed treatment plans. Equipment includes a high-volume Varian TrueBeam, a 21 EX (primarily 3D/palliative care), CT Simulation, and High-Dose Rate (HDR) brachytherapy.
- Patient Care & Safety: Assess patient needs and conditions during treatment, maintaining a compassionate, calm, and professional environment.
- Quality Assurance: Actively participate in essential morning QA, warm-ups, and necessary side paperwork to ensure operational excellence.
- Documentation: Maintain meticulous, detailed records of all therapy sessions with strict adherence to safety guidelines and HIPAA regulations.
Qualifications & Requirements
Required Experience & Credentials
- Experience: 3+ years of experience as a Radiation Therapist (2-5+ years will be considered).
- Environment: Demonstrated background working successfully in high-volume environments.
- Licensure: Valid Florida Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT/RTT) license.
- Certifications: ARRT Certification and Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) Certification.
