Job Description:

Parsons welcomes an exceptional systems engineer to join our on-going Science and Technology (S&T) efforts at one of the Army's premier R&D Centers at Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG), Maryland. As part of the program supporting advanced radar capabilities development, you'll be an integral part of a government and contractor team using state-of-the-art engineering and modeling tools and applying subject matter expertise in the areas of advanced radar technology, modeling and simulation, and software/hardware development for current and future Army radar and sensor systems.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide engineering support to radar science and technology efforts
  • Lead the technical execution of multi-year Department of Defense advanced radar projects
  • Lead test planning activities and provide on-site test support to support radar division projects
  • Assist the Government project lead with project management and technical work as needed
  • Lead development of analysis/simulation capabilities to explore/test new radar concepts and processing techniques (from small proof of concept scripts to large multi-file object-oriented programs)
  • Use simulations and small-scale tests to model and assess performance of existing systems, to inform viability of proposed or experimental capabilities, and to design large-scale test event configurations
  • Implement solutions to complex technical problems related to signal/data processing and radar systems design
  • Analyze radar data products to determine performance of systems and/or algorithms
  • Work with radar subject matter experts and Army representatives to identify promising paths for future investigation / development
  • Review deliverables from external contractors to evaluate project progress and make recommendations for future direction
  • Present results and analysis to external contractors and government stakeholders


Requirements:
  • B.S. in electrical engineering, computer engineering or physics
  • 2+ years of experience with MATLAB
  • 5+ years of radar systems engineering experience
  • 5+ years of experience with RF signal/data processing
  • 5+ years of experience with RF simulation and/or test design
  • Experience leading the development of RF systems
  • Active Secret Clearance


Desired Qualifications:
  • M.S. in electrical engineering, computer engineering or physics
  • 10+ years of radar systems engineering experience
  • 10+ years of experience with radar signal/data processing
  • 10+ years of experience with radar simulation and/or test design
  • Experience leading development of new radar systems
  • MATLAB expertise
  • C++ experience
  • Active TS / SCI Clearance


Security Clearance Requirement:
An active Secret security clearance is required for this position.

This position is part of our Federal Solutions team.

Salary Range: $112,200.00 - $196,400.00
