The Radar Systems Engineer (SE) will work within a multi-discipline team of engineers providing engineering support that addresses our customers' needs implementing current technology in the SDA and MW radars. The SE will be a team member on an Agile Modeling and Simulation development team building high-fidelity SDA radar models. The SE will be a self-starter who works well both in teams and independently. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and robust attention to detail, organizational skills, and self-accountability. Additional responsibilities include (but not limited to):
- Design and develop complex radar algorithms
- Participate in Scrum events, including Sprint Planning, Backlog Grooming and Sprint Closeout
- Document algorithm designs in System Modeling Language (SysML)
- Design unit and integration tests to verify developed models
- Conduct Peer Reviews and Code Inspections on software designs
Required Qualifications- Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain an Active DoD Security Clearance, preferably a Top Secret Security Clearance
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Mathematics or related field
- 4 years of relevant work experience in SDA, Radar, Software engineering or Signal Processing (2 years with a master's degree)
- Experience working with government customers including the USAF and USSF
- Working knowledge of software development in MATLAB and Object-Oriented Programming
- Experience with design and operation of sensor systems (radar or electro-optical)
- Experience in the Space Domain Awareness mission area
