Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 5-7 years of experience in mechanical design.
  • Proficiency in Solidworks 3D CAD and simulation tools.
  • Understanding of sheet metal fabrication and machining processes.
  • Experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematic diagrams.
  • Knowledge of PCB fabrication and design guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Design electro-mechanical assemblies and component parts.
  • Define mechanical constraints for PCBAs.
  • Conduct tolerance stackup analysis.
  • Create fabrication and assembly drawings.
  • Perform Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and thermal analysis.
  • Source off-the-shelf components as needed.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to resolve DFM & DFA issues.
  • Assemble and validate prototype assemblies.
  • Generate change orders in the Agile MRP system.
  • Attend project team meetings for project updates.

Duties:
  • Design electro-mechanical assemblies, machined parts, sheet metal component parts and corrugated/foam packaging
  • Define mechanical constraints for PCBAs
  • Perform tolerance stackup analysis
  • Create fabrication drawings, parts lists and assembly drawings
  • FEA and thermal analysis
  • Source off the shelf components
  • Interface with suppliers and Client operations to address DFM & DFA issues
  • Assemble and validate prototype assemblies
  • Create change orders in Agile MRP system
  • Attend project team meetings


Skills:
  • Proficient with Solidworks 3D CAD and simulation tools
  • Possesses understanding of sheet metal fabrication and machining
  • Ability to read electrical schematic diagrams
  • Experienced with GD&T
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office tools
  • Basic knowledge of PCB fabrication and design guidelines
  • Basic knowledge of Adobe Illustrator a plus
  • Experience with Agile a plus
