Join the Calibre™ Semi R&D Team at Siemens EDA

We are seeking a highly motivated R&D leader to develop simulation platform for semiconductor manufacturing solutions (including process and device simulations, DTCO), preferably with expertise in semiconductor domain knowledge, Technology Computer Aided Design (TCAD), high-performance scientific computing (numerical algorithms, linear/PDE solvers, computational geometry, distributed processing, GPU acceleration, etc).

Qualifications

The ideal candidate should possess the following education and experience:

PhD with 10+ (or MS with 15+) years of research/industry experience in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, etc.), with one or more expertise in:
  • Semiconductor knowledge: From basic to state-of-the-art semiconductor process integration, modules (photolithography, etch, deposition, Epitaxy, CMP) and semiconductor device physics at advanced technology nodes.
  • Scientific and high-performance computing: Numerical algorithms (FEM/FD/FVM), eigen/linear/PDE solvers, convex optimization, computational geometry, computer graphics with distributed processing, GPU acceleration, use of CUDA ecosystems.
  • SW/Programming skills: Proficiency in C/C++, CUDA, Python, Code Copilot, plus leveraging AI/ML to accelerate problem solving processes.

The pay range for this position is $180,400 - $324,700 annually with a target incentive of 15 - 25% of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
