Full Job Description
Position Summary:

Quotient is seeking a highly strategic, intellectually agile, and clinically minded leader to serve as Vice President of Translational Medicine. This is a senior clinical leadership role responsible for integrating clinical insights across scientific, drug discovery and corporate teams to support prioritization of disease areas, drug targets, medicine profiles, and leading early translational planning into clinical development strategies with a high probability of clinical and regulatory success.

The role will provide both strategic and scientific leadership opportunities and the opportunity to work across a broad span of functional areas including human genetics, human target validation, translational biology, biomarker discovery, clinical pharmacology, and clinical development and commercial strategy. This individual will have a strong influence on the shape and direction of Quotient's drug discovery pipeline strategy, applying deep clinical insight to evaluate and prioritize somatic genomics-discovered drug targets, assets, and development plans across a wide range of disease areas.

This role would suit an MD or MD/PhD with a background in early clinical development within a pharma, biotech, or translational research setting who is comfortable working in a scientifically rich environment to help shape drug development programs from the earliest stages of discovery. As Quotient's drug discovery pipeline expands, this individual will be expected to assume clinical leadership of Quotient's Phase 1/2 clinical trials; working with CROs and a growing internal clinical development team.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert clinical insight into disease area strategy assessments, target selection, and translational biology planning across a range of discovery projects.
  • Apply structured clinical reasoning across a broad range of therapeutic areas - evaluating unmet need, current/future standard of care, patient/treatment/diagnostic barriers, clinical feasibility, and early clinical signals
  • Identify transformational medicine opportunities where Quotient's platform could be used to develop new medicines in ways not possible with existing approaches.
  • Gather and support the integration of inputs from across disciplines (scientific, clinical, commercial, regulatory) to support the development of early target medicine profiles (TMP)
  • Adopt and test agentic AI algorithms to support clinical indication ideation and clinical trial prediction to support pipeline decision-making
  • Actively develop novel clinical development strategies and detailed plans, study protocols, and associated documents across all phases of development, reflecting internal and external stakeholder input (e.g., patients, evidence generation, regulators, payors, pharmacovigilance).
  • Bring clinical expertise to regulatory interactions and documents including briefing documents, presentations, IND/CTA submissions
  • Provide medical monitoring and oversight of the safety of study participants in Quotient's clinical trials.
  • Establish and nurture a network of external clinical experts and advisors to pressure-test hypotheses, support indication selection, and refine development strategies.
  • Serve as a clinical strategy partner in investor discussions and partnering conversations

Qualifications:
  • At least 4+ years in clinical drug development within early-stage biotech, pharmaceutical industry, and/or translational research settings.
  • MD, MD/PhD, or equivalent clinical training; ideal candidate will have spent meaningful time in patient-facing roles
  • Demonstrated success in translating scientific ideas/drug targets into novel clinical development strategies and/or experimental medicine strategies.
  • Demonstrated experience in driving disease area and drug discovery project strategy development across multiple disease and therapy areas
  • Intellectually agile, curious and confident in offering perspectives outside their domain expertise. The incumbent should be able to go deep quickly in new therapeutic areas despite limited prior experience
  • Comfortable working in a scientifically rich, early discovery-stage setting and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. The right person will be energized by the potential to help shape and build Quotient's future drug development aspirations.

Values and Behaviors:
  • Encourage respectful disagreement and cultivate open-minded, ego-free interactions to continuously push each other towards excellence
  • Seek out diverse perspectives; practice active listening and genuine curiosity to ensure all contributions are valued, regardless of source
  • Recognize the impact of your behavior, language and attitudes, and strive for balanced, meaningful exchanges that enhance mutual growth and understanding in all interactions
  • Use a company-first mindset to guide decision-making; prioritize team over individual success
  • Take calculated risks and challenge convention in the quest for exceptional outcomes

The salary range for this role is $0 - $0. Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience. Quotient Therapeutics, Inc. currently offers healthcare coverage, annual incentive program, retirement benefits and a broad range of other benefits. Compensation and benefits information is based on Quotient Therapeutics, Inc.'s good faith estimate as of the date of publication and may be modified in the future.
